Ate here while passing through on business. Ate dinner inside - decor was hilarious... not sure it was intended to be! Ate a plate of fresh veggies, salmon, potatoes, and had a sparkling water and generous shot of local vodka for the equivalent of 13 dollars. Would definitely return.

Prices are not regional but like in Moskva or SPb. A lot of people in weekends. But service is quite good. Cuisine is not phenomenal as I expected from this place but not so bad as other writes here. As for me there are more interesting places to eat in the town.

Having lunch that, everything tradition from waitress dressing, interior design, TV program, alcoholic honey drink, home made cheese to colourful mixed dumplings, except lunch payment with credit card but not barter :P Value for money, two person lunch spent RUB1500

While planning our day trip in the Golden Ring, my boyfriend and I were told we would have lunch in Suzdal. Chainaya came well recommended, and so we stopped to have lunch there with our tour guide. Our guide was able to help us navigate the menu (which was written in excellent English) and also recommend dishes that were specialties of the area (of which our guide was from). I decided to have the stuffed cabbage with ground meat, baked in a tomato sauce served in an earthenware vessel. My boyfriend had the pan fried pike fish cakes and a side of kasha. Both dishes were very delicious. He had a pot of tea to warm himself up, while I opted to try some of the horseradish vodka and a glass of mead. Both were delicious, but definitely take the vodka in sips, as the horseradish adds an extra kick. Both the service and the ambiance were very warm and inviting. An extra bonus is the close proximity to the Suzdal kremlin. A delicious meal in a lovely place.благодаÑим Ð²Ð°Ñ Ð·Ð° оÑÐµÐ½ÐºÑ Ð½Ð°Ñей ÑабоÑÑ, ждем Ð²Ð°Ñ Ñнова в гоÑÑи.
