The population was 34,837 at the 2010 census and 34,797 at the 2015 estimate. It is a suburban community within the Akron metropolitan area. Stow is adjacent to several other suburban communities in Summit and Portage counties. It is bordered on the south by the cities of Tallmadge and Munroe Falls and the village of Silver Lake, on the east by the city of Kent and Franklin Township, on the north by the city of Hudson, and on the west by the city of Cuyahoga Falls.

In our city (Kent, OH)) restaurants come and go, but one always remains popular, and that's Rockne's. You'd better go hungry, because portion are large. They have so many signature dishes, it's hard to say what is their best. But they are famous for their salads. Always fresh and very big, there are 6 or 8 to choose from. Their overstuffed sandwiches are huge. But the thing everybody mentions about Rockne's is their fries. Mounds come as a side for any of their sandwiches, and usually a half sandwich with fries is more than most people can eat. The atmosphere is casual and inviting and the service is always prompt. It makes you want to go back for more.

Typical Panera fair. All of it is good. But, in my opinion, a bit high priced. But, for a nice lunch out, their soup and salad is very good.

Joining my friends for an after-golf lunch we chose to go to this place for a sandwich and beer. With a multitude of sandwich (grinder) options and a vast array of pizza selections (as well as many other menu items) we were surprised to see that it was 'counter ordering only'...even for your beer. A bit of a strange setup, but the beer was cold and the sandwich was just okay...albeit a bit messy. A bit of a mundane experience overall.Thanks for the feedback. We are counter service from 11-4. Have been for 19 years. We do however offer full service from 4-close (including a bartender) come check is out after 4 if that's more your style. Hope to see you soon.

Sub shops in the college town of Kent, OH have come and gone over the years. But one has been around seemingly forever is still going strong, and with good reason. Franklin Sq. Deli has retained what made it good to start with, but has also changed with the times, always tinkering with its menu. Known primarily for its sub sandwiches, the deli also boasts excellent soups and chili, NY style sandwiches and paninis.It's a great place to have lunch in the summer on the outdoor table.
