Had wonderful lunch here with family. Very authentic osteria with great selection of Tuscan favorites. The pizza looked good but we opted for pasta and secondi. The ravioli with butter and sage was outstanding, as was the pasta with sugo cinghiale. We enjoyed the sausage and beans as well as the rabbit - both excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Itâs s cozy place and great for a long relaxing meal.

Impressive wine selection. Very slow service. Most of the food we ordered they would come back and say they didnât have. That was rather disappointing. The food was all so salty. So much salt. The tiramisu was just cream and cocoa...no cake. One of the waiters, an older gentleman was very nice. Difficult to enjoy dinner as the kids at the table next to us were running around, screaming, climbing on things. The staff did nothing about it. I understand kids are kids, we had two with us and they didnât act like that. If youâre looking for somewhere to relax, this place will work. Food is edible, just salty.

We are frequent visitors to Montepulciano and This restaurant was recommended to us by 2 local businesses. We shared a starter of mixed cheeses which at 18⬠was pricey. Although there are some beautiful local cheeses this selection was uninspired, some sliced so thinly you could barely taste it and one of the goat cheeses was unpleasantly sour. My husband enjoyed his main course of chicken and rabbit, although be aware it is full of very small bones. I ordered the pici with garlic, chilli and breadcrumbs. Unfortunately the food was so dry that I couldnât eat it. The waiter and owner were clearly not happy when I told them what I thought (having been asked). No adjustment was made to the bill and no goodwill gesture offered. With a huge selection of fantastic restaurants in Montepulciano much more reasonably priced and with staff who treat you with much greater courtesy we definitely wonât be going back.

The tavern is located in proximity of the entrance door of Monticchiello, a nice medieval village near Pienza. With its few places (it is better to reserve), it proposes an elegant room, furnished with taste in typical tuscan style, it is comfortable and f
Ordinary food. So-so service. Fantastic sunset view if one is lucky enough to have one of the three terrace edge tables. There is a small park right in front of the terrace where one can enjoy the view without dining at the restaurant.FOOD: 3.0. Ordinary. One diner described the taste as pre-made and then warmed up. Later when our agriturismo host heard that we dined here, he frowned and said "micro-waved" food.- Risotto orzo: 2.5- Gnocchetti di patate: 3.0- Guancia di manzo: 3.0SERVICE: 3.0. One server was very considerate and worked hard to provide a good experience. When we entered the restaurant he had us wait while he cleared an edge terrace table that had just been vacated. The other two servers were indifferent. That balances out to 3 stars.AMBIANCE:- for those without an edge terrace table: 3.0- for those lucky few who have an edge terrace table: 4.5

Nice lunch in the back garden coverd for rain. Served by what may be father and son, jolly and homly feeling and good traditional tuscan food. Wish we had tried the pasta, coocked and put into! a large pecorino where they carve the cheese to blend in. Very interesting way of doing it and looked really good! Also recommend if you want to practise some Italian.
