Things to do in Reykholt
We are a small cafe/restaurant in the country, located in Biskupstungur, near Gullfoss and Geysir. We serve all kinds of pastries, along with soup and pizzas. We also offer coffee, cocoa, sodas and alcohol. We look forward to welcoming you to our cafe.
We stopped for a cup of coffee and hot chocolate and were treated to one of the best beverages in Iceland. There looked to be a group of locals enjoying lunch behind us - what a great place to spend a few minutes with such a view.
A Visitor Center in THjórsárstofa Ãrnes. A beautiful restaurant within the visitor center, offering warm and welcoming atmosphere, Icelandic home cooked food, home baked bread, soups, salads, cakes and drinks. Our pride is quality food, beautifully served
Thjorsardalur is a great area for tourists to visit in Iceland. There are 2 interesting waterfalls, lovely scenery, a woodland, areas of historic interest and also a good example of ecologically friendly electricity production with an exhibition for the general public. So a trip to this area is more interesting with the Ãrnes Visitor Center that now has a simple but friendly and helpful restaurant. So visitors can get coffee and cakes and straightforward traditional Icelandic meals at reasonable prices

The Geysir Center is just another large gift shop but interesting none the less. Prices are kinda high so we passed on souvenirs. There were some eats but not cheap.

Kaffi-Sel operates a family owned restaurant, accommodation called Efra-Sel hostel and a 18 hole golf course. At the restaurant we offer vegan options, gourmet pizzas and burgers, salads, desserts and more. Everyone is welcome!
âVegan friendlyâ! My teen daughter was thrilled to read those words on the cover of the menu, which had all vegan dishes clearly labeled. The menu includes interesting pizzas, burgers, salads and more in a very open, airy and comfortable restaurant associated with a golf course. Thereâs not much out in Fludir, so this find was a real gem. My burger was delicious - all food was fresh and brought promptly. The ownerâs teen son (?) always had a smile on his face when he came to our table. Professional and friendly staff rounded out this dining experience - dinner on a rainy Tuesday night. Thanks for brightening our evening!

Supa serves delicious soups cooked every morning from fresh vegetables and beans. All soups are gluten free and very flavourful. We also offer sandwiches, salads, coffee, tea and baked goods. Fast service, rich flavours, healthy food and nice atmosphere.
If you've been driving the Golden Circle and need lunch or such, this is a great option. They have 4 different selections of soups/sandwiches for around $16US. And the Geysirs are just across the street.

Truly a hidden gem in the South Coast. Pictures and videos do not do justice to the magic of this place. We were a big wedding group and Andri made sure our arrangements went smoothly and that we have a wonderful viking experience with hands on instruction on axe and arrows as well as sharing in history. Having axe throwing and archery activities outside during sunset will be a favorite memory here. he even let us toast some marshmallows on fire outside. Upon entering, I felt transported back into time, with the lighting and music hauntingly beautiful. The entire ambiance is unlike any other. Here you can enjoy delicious meals with vegan options available. For the brave, they also offer fermented shark ! A must see in Iceland for travelers, also, HIGHLY recommended for events like weddings and corporate gatherings! **They are active on instagram, be sure to check their page out for current videos and picturesHi Betty,Thank you so much for these incredibly kind and generous words. You guys were absolutely amazing guests and we are truly happy to have met you guys. You will always be welcome here at Ingólfsskáli!Thank you again and until next time...

Daughter no 1 had this place scoped out prior and we made a reservation late in the afternoon prior. Fridheimar is popular (read tour buses) and expensive. Having said that, it is a unique experience and the full bar does help! Tomato soup, bread and a few sides to choice from makes up the menu. Reservations are required but we had to wait 30 minutes plus for our table. Pls see the bar comment above. ;-)
