My husband and I stopped on a whim during our trip! Once was all it took and we ended up going 3 times during our trip. We had , clam chowder, halibut and chips, shrimp and clams! We would do all of them again except clams! Just not to our taste. Even though it was really busy we were still able to find a seat and got our food quickly. Staff were very friendly!

Mo's Annex opened in 1968 as a companion restaurant to the Original Mo's. Mo's Annex specializes in Oregon coast seafood cuisine in a casual atmosphere. Features Mo's famous clam chowder and a variety of fresh local favorites like oysters, salmon and crab
Crap tourist junk food. Disaffected waitstaff. Like it's bigger namesake, it's of a bygone era of quirky greasy fastfood.Sorry you feel that way. We've been making Grandmas recipes for over 70 years and we strive daily to keep her business the way she envisioned it. We know we can't please everybody and it seems we've fallen short with you.

Ordered a salad, shrimp and lettuce sat under the lights and salad plate was HOT-beware-unfriendly after a long wait to get in and a longer wait for food-unsafe, unclean, too small, one small bathroom and cleanliness was clearly an after thought-no room for wheelchair to sit or to use restroom-is this not illegal/immoral???

Called in an order for pickup while visiting Newport and the food was fantastic! I had the fish tacos and a bowl of the famous Clam Chowder and it didnât disappoint. The fish tacos were good and the portions were huge. The bowl of Clam Chowder was the best Iâve ever had. Since mine was take out, I canât comment on the restaurant service, but I would definitely return here if in the area.

We have been going to the Chowder Bowl since it originally opened. They have fantastic chowder, great fries and are very accommodating to customers with gluten free needs. They have even suggested other local locations with GF chowder and allowed us to bring it in for a GF member of the family. This is exceptional service that other chowder restaurants will not accommodate. ( They are also pet friendly on their patio!)

This was previously known as "Gino's Fish Market."
Finding clear gluten-free options on the Oregon coast wasn't as easy as expected. This place had a review that they did have options and it is true. They have a few dishes and were able to make substitutions where necessary, but make sure you know what might have gluten (e.g. wild rice) because they weren't initially aware. Pretty good meal for both GF and non-GF but pricey. Unless you get a simple salad or something deep fried plan to spend at least $25 per person.

Our group of four enjoyed our visit immensely. We sat outside on the patio, and enjoyed the beautiful day while eating the delicious food. I enjoyed the Taugues Delight, Irish style sausages smothered in seasoned apples and onions sauteed in Strongbow hard cider, served with mashed potatoes, peas, and a side of our house mushroom gravy. It was delicious, and far too large a portion for me to finish. Others in the party enjoyed the Veggie Sandwich, the Dublin Burger and the Vegetarian Celtic Curry Pie. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Service was good, but not exceptionally fast or attentive. If I lived in the area, I would return.
