Health in a bowl. You can construct your own soup -- choosing the broth, protein, veggies, etc -- and enjoy a healthy lunch. The bubble tea options are huge... lots of different flavors from which to choose. For the carnivores, my steak medallions with rice vermicelli was delicious. About $8 - $9 for entrees. Good food, good price.

The healthy choices are so good. You can get a variety of salads, soups, and rice noodles with incredible fresh ingredients including kale, black beans, jalapeño peppers. My son had a large salad and a double protein with chicken and beans. I was torn between the tortilla soup or the mushroom soup with tofu. My husband was a little nervous but ordered the Thai noodles with chicken. You can add in protein or spices. I loved my soup and added fresh cilantro. The price is not cheap but it's very tasty and very fresh, so it's worth it. Will be back on our next visit to college son.

One of our favorite place. The food and service is consistently good. If you can save some space, treat yourself to any of the home made desserts. You wonât be disappointed. No matter what you get off the menu it will be good. I tried the lightly breaded fish. Delicious.

We were there on a Friday night, and there were few patrons. We were seated next to a party with young children, and the nearby TV was blasting Nickelodeon. We asked if we could move further away from the loud TV, but the waitress retorted that there was a TV at the other end, too. (I happened by that TV later on the way to the bathroom, and it was tuned to the news at a much lower volume.) The dishes and utensils were basic (reminiscent of a college cafeteria), but the food was good and affordable. Shortly after being served, the party with the children left, so we figured when the waitress came by to check on us, we could ask if they could turn the TV off (or at least turn down the volume). No such luck, as the waitress never came back to the table again except to deliver the check when we were done.

We go to the Chowder House all the time for dinner. They definitely have the best chowder, a wide selection on the menu (including delicious meals for people who don't like fish as well) and very affordable prices. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint with the fish decor. The owner, Jim, is a really nice guy who cares about his customers. The bread is baked fresh every day and they also have absolutely delicious homemade desserts!
