Great welcome, friendly staff, , chat about the fish, the menu the wine.....Our starter was fish risotto, modified as some of our group couldnât eat shellfish , but sensational all the same.Next course was freshly cooked sea bream! Firm flesh, good simple taste. But so full by now. Deserts some said excellent, all very enjoyable.

We were shunted off the the Lido Hotel in Muggia when another hotel in town failed to honor our reservations. The room was fine but the bed extremely hard. The WiFi signal didn't reach our room on the third floor and was only accessible in the lobby or restaurant. We only had breakfast, which was typical of an Italian B&B (ham, moradella, yogurt, cereal, cornetti).

We enjoyed very good calamari fritti at this property yesterday. The atmosphere is casual, with wonderful covered outside dining. We were met with a glass of cold Proseco as we sat down (not a welcome gift...it was on the bill). Prices were reasonable but not cheap eats. We'll probably return if we're in the Muggia area again.

The Hostaria which has a seafood specialty was a treat. Food was well prepared and presented with good quality ingredients. The choices were inventive and the atmosphere was right on. Good wine choices. Seafood risotto was a hit as were the desserts. No problem retuning.

We found the Antica Trattoria Suban via TripAdvisor and what a find this was! They offer about 15 dishes but they are all immaculately made and perfectly representative of the local cuisine. Prices are more than OK for what is on offer (expect to pay about 15 Euro for a second course, 6 Euro for desert, a bottle of great wine is about 20). Food is magnificent, well prepared and well balanced. And the deserts are to die for...try the ice cream! Service was absolutely great, very knowledgeable and courteous, with complimentary dishes from the house. The restaurant itself is a bit outside the city centre but you can easily find free parking spaces outside. Reserve in advance - the place tends to get full! Respect for what the founder of this restaurant has done! A very highly recommended establishment!

It was a very busy night and the staff were rushed off their feet, but still they kept calm and maintained service. The menu comprises many seafood items that are well cooked. The food was satisfactory to good, but not overwhelmingly so. The meals tended to be on the larger side.Credit cards were accepted.

While visiting the Cathedral S. Giusto, we asked the person tending the gift shop for a lunch recommendation. Upon arrival, a glance along the street left us dubious. Inside, however, the meal and the friendly service were great. Seek it out if you are hungry for seafood and in the vicinity!

Hiden within narrow streets of Muggia center Splendor is providing family atmosphere and probably is family owned and family managed. Menu is not big however enough to enjoy lunch after short walk or visiting mearby clothes outlet. We've eaten fish and other seafood, then chocolate muss for desert. White wine as house wine was OK too.
