The restaurant is one of the most important focal points situated along our estate. It is located in an ancient renovated country farmhouse. It is the perfect place to re-discover the fragrances and flavours of the Tuscan cuisine of long agoâ¦â¦ a time when
Many different employees move about. Wait staff are conversant in English, if somewhat stiff. No warm, homey feeling here although everybody was professional enough. Food was okay, nothing noteworthy. The setting was very nice and they seem to have a large enough following although looking at what some people were eating, their choices didn't seem to reflect the local cuisine. I tend to ask for recommendations. They were given in a rather matter of fact fashion, not the expected enthusiasm such questions usually elicit.

This is a lovely little Restaurant in the centre of Altopascio with the possibility to sit inside or out. The staff is very helpful and friendly though mainly speak italien. The menu is in both Italian and English and the one staff member speaking English is happy to explain if you have any questions. We had booked a table as there was 7 of us but as it was out of season and a Thursday night, it wasn't busy. The starters were amazing and the special stuffed zucchini a most if you go. There is a good selection of mains and they are happy to do gluten free if you ask. Also the puddings are fantastic especially the ice cream with coffee. We had a very enjoyable evening and was very well looked after.

Looking at the other positive reviews, it might be so that we were unlucky that evening, but we had a very disappointing diner at Osteria Da Mi Pa. We were a group of 14, on a sunday night, we had booked in advance and we were the only guests. Nevertheless we had to wait a very long time before we got served. The food was not good (I had 'Tempura chicken and rabbit with vegetables' there was no rabbit at all in it). The young waitress was friendly, but the owner was very unpleasant when two other persons in the group told him that there dishes were not good.

We offer a dining experience that goes beyond the plate, incorporating history and traditions, ethics and sustainable agriculture into each dish. We carefully select products from our local bounty, using local products whenever possible. Alda is a talente
Discovered this restaurant thanks to our host in Capannori who recommended it and I must say that going there for Valentine's Day was the perfect choice and led to an amazing evening. The restaurant was decorated with delicate and romantic touches for the eve. We arrived very early as soon as it opened at 7.30pm and the manager and waitresses were very welcoming and friendly. There was a varied menu with very worthwhile prices. The waitress brought us some complimentary pumpkin soup which I really enjoyed. Then, we ordered the 'Salumi' platter as an appetizer between us, which gave us the opportunity to sample some local delicacies. But the best was yet to come! I must admit I fell in love with the starter - a cheesy risotto with tasty sausage. I slowly relished every mouthful and honestly think I have never eaten a more delicious risotto in my life! Our main course consisted of pheasant marinated in oranges - again, mind-numbingly good! In the end, I was so full that I had no place for dessert, however I have no doubt it would have been excellent as well.Truly an evening to remember! Thank you I Diavoletti! I will mention the place to whoever is about to go to Tuscany!

..Et but I think a lot of happiness to both homini that arise where there are good wines ... Leonardo da Vinci
We were highly recommended this Buggiano village restaurant (and there arenât many about in this region) but somehow we never got to really taste the promised good local Italian pasta and general offerings. The service was rustique too and not very friendly apart from the waitress who tried really hard. Huge disappointment and have had better Italian food in loads of London restaurants. What happened to the original Italian local cuisine?
