our party of 4 were told about this agriturismo Restuarant so we decided to try.it was the most wonderful evening. The decor of the Restuarant was so homely, but the food was the highlight, we had 4 courses, all absolutely delicious. We agreed that it was probably the best meal we had all had.The waiter's attention to detail was superb and he explained every course with so much passion. It was not a cheap evening, but worth everythingThanks for appreciating our cuisine and our way of being. Waiting to meet You again!

Not very inviting decor of the late seventies but reasonably priced food. Most of our party had pizzas and were happy with their choice. I opted for restaurants special - polenta- it was very bland and greasy and not recommended. If you want something more than pizza look elsewhere.

We ate her on Christmas day, coming back from skiing at the local Peio ski area. The place is simple, yet very traditional and cosy. There is a limited choice on dishes because this is a farm where they serve as much of their own products as they can. I find this a great plus, because it means that you have fresher, more "real" food and less waste. If you are Italian, especially from the north of Italy, you will feel like eating at Grandma's. Very good starters, do not miss the home made pickles. First course was excellent (great nettle soup!), we found that the roasted agnello (lamb) needs a bit more work to be as good as the mixed grill meat dish. The couple's children and their friends roam happily around, which gives the place and even more friendly atmosphere. They also sell their products either at the restaurant or at the nearby tiny shop. Recommended!

Third time lucky. We tried a couple of times earlier during the week but it was either full or closed. This time we got a table. It looks quite typical, traditional restaurant inside. Everything is clean and the interior looks nice. The staff is friendly and polite, the hostess is overwhelmingly friendly. We ordered tuna carpaccio, pumpkin soup, salmon tagliatelle and risotto funghi. Everything was fantastic. The portions did not only look good but they also tasted exactly as they should. They have a really great chef(s) in the kitchen. We got also greetings from the kitchen before the starters and grappa to digest the bill (which was quite reasonable). It took a while to prepare the meals but rather wait for this good food than get something mediocre fast. The best dinner experience in Madonna.

I've been going to Genzianella on and off for more then 50 years. I witnessed highs and lows but always appreciated the family atmosphere and the traditional food. The last few years were definitely the best, making this place our favorite in Madonna and as a matter of fact the only one we go to for regular meals. Whatever you choose don't miss the "cavolo cappuccio" simple but special!

This really sums up all that is good about Italian skiing and why the Brits are such idiots to continue skiing and eating on the slopes in "third world" France. Madonna offers plenty of challenging slopes but some great places to rest and recharge. From the moment you walk in here, you are treated as a treasured friend. Great service, good food and all at sensible prices. Nothing is too much trouble. Pine schnapps 'on the house' at the bar after paying your bill...& before venturing out into the snow again. PERFETTO!

We stopped here for lunch on our way from Lake Garda to Lake Como and were glad that we did. The place was full. construction workers, business men and several couples but we were probably the only non Italian speakers there. We were a bit unsure of how to order, was it a menu of the day with some choices or a la carte, Still not sure but we ended up with pizza, pizzoccheri della valtellina (we had no idea what this was and it turned out to be a souffle like dish with potatoes, mushroom? pasta and cheese. It tasted a lot better than it looked.), and a thin steak that was very tasty.A fun stop that we'd recommend if you are in the area.

Decorated in 'chalet' style, very warm and nice. Pizza is good, crust is very thin. Staffs are nice and friendly. Dessert is also great.
