We chose to eat here strictly for the novelty of ordering on the machine outside. It must make the process faster because our food arrived very quickly. Not the greatest ramen ever but it was good. It was, however, the cheapest meal I ate in Tokyo. There are so many options in Shibuya it can be overwhelming. Kamakura was simple. They have beer too. The machine outside did break as a member of our group attempted to order, but the staff were outside in the rain and had it fixed in under 5 minutes.

So popular with the local expats and younger Japanese that there's almost always a wait for a seat in this small and crowded, popular local noodle shop. But waits are rarely more than 10 minutes and what great noodles (ramen)! Big bowls of noodles (cooked to your choice), vegetarian or meat-based, and some sides make a great, quick easy dinner. A place to take the kids of all ages, too; several families were there when we visited. Two big bowls of steaming noodles and 3 beers (500 Yen@) came to Yen 4,323 (or US$40). Just a few minutes' walk from Roppongi station on a small side street. Easy to spot by the waiting customers standing in the alley outside.
