Off the beaten path, but worth the drive over. Nostalgic and comfortable with a unique gift shop. A good place to eat, shop and be...
I've been here for both breakfast and lunch several times and always look forward to going back. It is out of the way but there is a reason that people find their way here. It's a little country gift shop with a great restaurant. I wanted to say it is nothing special, just regular food, but that wouldn't be right. There is something about breakfast or a sandwich that makes this place stand out. It's special. Prices are low and quality is high and my wife loves to browse the attached gift shop with many locally made items. There is a walking / bicycle rail trail nearby so you can make a day of it. Take a ride and give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant has a lunch menu with two prices....regular lunch price and senior lunch price. No one has to ask for senior discount, or try to figure out how it affects the price. It is listed and easily seen. This is mainly a fish restaurant , but chicken and burgers are available. Itâs nice to see baked shrimp and fish as well as the expected fried. Onion rings are an upcharge of a dollar and worth every penny. These are real onion rings, not microwaved reheated. The restaurant is small, but worth any required wait.

I went at the recommendation of a co-worker with an emphasis on their desserts, so I decided to go with my husband and give Buckley's Bakery a try; upon entering, it looked like they had a ticket system similar to what you'd see at the deli counter, but instead we were asked by one of the several employees behind the counter if we could be helped. Having never been there before, it took us some time to decide on a couple of paninis, drinks, and desserts. Because they make the paninis to order, there was a bit of an awkward wait near the register, not really knowing where to stand. Other than that, the staff was super friendly and helpful and the extra seating upstairs was a nice getaway from the hustle downstairs. I didn't take a picture but for my dessert I had a cream puff shaped liked a swan - I thought it was absolutely lovely! Thanks so much for choosing to dine with us, and taking the time to leave us some of your feedback. So glad to hear you enjoyed the cream puff swan, and our staff was helpful! We are always working to improve things for our guests, so we really do appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review!
