we stopped by tavern adler late in the day and the kitchen was not far off closing but the chap who was in charge was very kind and let us eat but just choose from a slightly more limited choice menu. we had nachos to share to start and they were cheesy and very yummy. then as a main we shared the steak pie which was huge. for dessert we had the mini desserts with tea or coffee...one each.. and even they were big. so go hungry...very nice food...not expensive . ..friendly staff...reccomended...

Super little cafe with everything made fresh to order. Wide variety of snacks from baked potatoes, panini to soup and sandwiches. Also have supply of gluten free bread and cakes with most soups also gluten free. As for drinks usual coffee and tea options with a variety of milk shakes and cold coffees available. Very friendly staff. Keep up the good work.

Family run nostalgic Tea Room in the heart of Dundee. Warm & friendly environment with home made food and baking on offer. Tea served in china tea cups and coffee complimented by many coffee lovers. Service second to none. Serving traditional homemade sou
Loved this place, old fashioned but stylish 50's/60's retro look, great music from that period, serving very good fresh door-stop sandwiches, soups and ploughman's. Cakes and other sweet treats are many and fresh baked. Their afternoon tea for 2, served to a neighbouring table was fab! All very tempting. Good coffee and soft drinks. Really had fun there, friendly staff, specials board, child friendly.

I am fprom forfar used cafe for years but now found getting pretty sloppy. Ordered soup. Spoons dirty asked to be replaced with still dirty spoons that we cleaned with napkins. Soup arrived warm only and vegtable soup bland. Waitresses going around like headless chickens with only 3 tables occupied. Will never be back to pathetic effort of a high syreet cafe.

Tearoom, delicious baking, soups and light meals. Nature reserve with lovely walks. Visitor farm and children's play area.
Went for the Easter hunt and children loved it. Went with 2 friends and 7 children so takes a lot to keep them amused. Animals are good and enough activities posted around to keep the children entertained. Zip wire and trampolines are great. Food was lovely and a great sharing platter for the children with ham, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber and crisps. Very reasonable prices too, no entry fee and food was only £30 for all 10 of us. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I visited here in time for lunch and were not disappointed. Hubby had potato and leek soup then home made steak Bridie with beans. I chose butternut squash and courgette soup then baked potato with chicken mayo and side salad. The food was beautiful and the restaurant and toilets spotless. There was also a great choice of beautiful homemaking. The owner and her young assistant were both very nice and helpful. Well worth a visit. We will be back!

We took our Kinfolk to this wonderful family friendly eating establishment for a great lunch, which was lovely and a reasonably priced combo. The Staff are very friendly and hospitable. We would highly recommend this excellent cafe with an adjacent gift shop for browsing. Well worth a visit. Enjoy Cheers John

Worth a trip out here to sample lovely, delicious home cooked and baked goodies. We've been a few time, mostly at the weekend. This visit was a Friday morning, on this occasion things felt a little on the back foot, like they were not really prepared for a full house or maybe not enough staff. Menu is always limited and differs from the weekend ( which isn't big either) but that everything is cooked fresh to order, therefore takes a wee while. Soups are always quirky flavours and very delicious. Then there are the cakes and scones again odd combinations but so good. They also dated well for gluten free.Dog friendly, lovely friend oh staff too.
