Reviews on Soups food in Freeport, Maine, United States. Local legend claims that Freeport was the birthplace of Maine, the decision to separate from Massachusetts having been made in a local tavern way back in 1789. Whether this is truth or folklore, Freeport has much more to offer, including South Freeport, a historic harbourfront village offering up a fresh catch every day. Nearby Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park and the Mast Landing Audubon Sanctuary provide nature trails with scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean over the rocky shores of Maine.

Located two blocks north of L.L.Bean at 162 Main Street, Freeport Maine. The Broad Arrow Tavern is located inside the Harraseeket Inn.
Every time we go, it is superb. The service is top notch and the menu diverse. The brick oven pizzas and mac and cheese are so delicious that it is tough to resist. Did I mention the home baked breads and desserts?! Wow.Thank you! We hope to see you again soon! The Gray family
Where to eat Pizza food in Freeport: The Best Restaurants and Bars

There are surprisingly few options for eating when strolling the shops of Freeport. Jameson is conveniently located, has some charm, and has long waits. The greeter was a little surly, and I actually felt sorry for her as she was busy in a restaurant with a frenetic mid-day pace. If there had been other options, I probably wouldn't have waited the 30+ minutes for a seat, especially since we had 2 children. However, had the weather have cooperated we could have waited just outside and that would have made the time seem much less. he food was simply "okay". I'd say the chowder was excellent, but the other meals our group of 6 had were all good, not outstanding. The calamari was a nice shared appetizer. The lobster roll a little pricey and a little disappointing. If you aren't time rushed and/or just want to sit for a while, eat okay seafood with prices that are just a little high, then this place fits the bill.

Our hotel recommended this place. It was ok. Service at the bar area was super slow. Finally after waiting 15 min, a gentleman finally took our order. I got the seafood chowder which was good and hubby got lobster roll, meh. Itâs conveniently located across from the LL Bean main store.Good day, I want to thank you for taking the time to write in, and on behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for your experience with us.
