Join the local ghosts in a walk through the historic district of Fredericksburg, Virginia, a city that claims to be one of the most haunted locales in the United States. Walked over to Pho Saigon from the library with a couple of friends to get take out for lunch. Tried the shrimp bun and it was really good. Tasty, light, and filling, but not overly so we could keep working on a group project for the rest of the afternoon without feeling bloated or needing a nap. Friends had beef bun and chicken pho, both were enjoyed, but the pho as takeout was kinda awkward and hard for her to eat, but both friends liked their meals and agreed that they were just right for a keep-on-working day.

This small gem is the real deal...every dish is made with fresh ingredients, served in "clay pots" and other traditional dishes, and delicious. We had a lovely visit and left with our tummies full and a desire to go back again and again when we are visiting the area, so as to try all the dishes.

The restaurant is tiny.... but the food speaks volumes. When I first moved to Fredericksburg I stopped in at the recommendation of my realtor. She was not wrong in her recommendation at all. The chips and salsa are always fresh. I always get either the chicken burrito or the chicken tacos. The chicken tacos come two to an order and they are just heavenly. The right amount of zip too them and the squeeze of lime that comes with them just brings the flavors to another level. I highly recommend the black bean soup and the tortilla soup a well..... just awesomeness in a cup or bowl. They close early on Sunday's (I wish they'd stay open a bit later during the summer) and are closed on Mondays. But if you have a craving for great Mexican food... head to The Soup & Taco you will not be disappointed. Your wallet will thank you too. Compared to some of the other restaurants in Fredericksburg, they have maintained pretty reasonable prices. I'd go to Soup & Taco 100% over Chipotle any day.

What a charming little restaurant with incredible food. Great 3 and 4 course dinners but can order individual meals as well. High quality prepared dinner. Butter nut squash soup incredibly flavorful, chicken with mushrooms and brie was Devine. Carmel cheese cake with apples was phenomenal. Booked Valentine's day and this weekend so thrilled to have perfect service. Got to meet the chef, super nice and personal. A must try in old town Fredericksburg VA

The food is fresh but just ok. It's a tiny place that fills up quickly - I think there are maybe half a dozen tables inside. The food isn't particularly memorable, but Soup & Taco is a perfectly acceptable place for a quick bite or to have lunch with a friend.

This restaurant was perfect for us. We were very warmly welcomed, there was a great selection on the menu and the food when it came was delicious. The staff were exceptionally helpful taking a lot of time to explain things we werenât familiar with. Weâd definitely visit again if weâre in the area.
