After a long drive north from Milwaukee we stopped at Friar Tuck's in FDL for dinner. The place was packed and we had to wait for a table. It was 4 pm! Granted it was Friday pm and people in the area love their Friday night fish fry. The haddock fish fry was delicious, served piping hot, with great rye bread and coleslaw. They even had complimentary cheese, sausage, salsa appetizers for Happy Hour. The service was fast and waitress great. We loved it and will make an effort to stop again when in FDL.

Called on a Monday to order sandwiches from my employees for a lunch meeting the next day, delivery at noon. I was told to call back the next day just after 11 am.Called Tuesday at 11:05 with my order of 8 9" grinders and chips for delivery at 12 noon. Told OK!Noon comes and goes, 12:15 try calling, phone line is busy, try again twice, same thing. I send someone to go pick up the order, 15 minutes later Mancinos calls and says the order is delayed (??? duh!) do I still want it, said YES! and I want it delivered, NO! I have someone coming to pick it up. Will it be ready in 10 minutes. I was told , uhhh, maybe. I asked if they could do something due to the delay, and was told they would (not specific). My driver waits 15 minutes and then comes back.at 1:05 with my order. I ddi not receive anything to compensate.NEVER AgainI'm really sorry about these events! That was not an average day, we-we're short-handed and crazy busy, the phone and online orders wouldn't stop. I also apologize for not getting back to you sooner, like right away, with a remedy of some sort. If you choose to give us another chance let us know and we would like to make up for that horrible day.We really were trying to please everybody dine-in, take-out and deliveries.Thank You,Tony [email protected]

My husband and I went here on our anniversary for dinner. It was a Thursday and there was only one other couple in the bar. The bartender was awesome!! She was friendly and fun!! We ordered our drinks which were double bubble - nice little surprise too. We ordered the Thai pork egg rolls for an appetizer- delish!!!When we were nearing the end of our last cocktail we were instructed to stand our menu up so the server could come and take our order. We did so and she was right over. Hubs ordered the Blancks special with fried lobster and I ordered the Blancks special with the grilled chicken breast wild rice and asparagus. We headed to the soup and salad bar which was nicely stocked. The soup was very tasty too. Our dinners arrived and wow! The servings are enormous!! Such a deal for the price! We left with lunch for the next day! We thought the food was very good. Not sure about all of the bad reviews. But more, we thought the price was excellent for what you received! The server did her job, took the order and brought out food. She was not friendly like the bartender but she certainly was sufficient. We would definitely go back!
