This restaurant just happened to be next door to our hotel on a one night stopover in Fiumicino. What a find. The fish was so fresh and delicious I even ate some raw and enjoyed it, something I would never have expected. The whole experience, sitting outside next to the sea, the waiter refusing to let us order secondi until we had eaten our pasta course, being shown the day's catch to choose from, all made for a great night out. The antipasto fish platters, both crudo and cotto, were amazing. This was the most expensive meal we had in 12 days in Italy, but probably the best and most memorable.

I thought I a had eaten at all the good restaurants in fiumicino, so this was a delightful surprise. We had a most satisfying seafood lunch on the terrace.A multitude of delicious antipasto, followed buy excellent pasta with crab (see photographs) then fish. We were totally unable to eat dessert. Excellent food and service. Beautifully cool terrace overlooking the river. Not the easiest place to find, but well worth the effort.

Our hotel recommended some restaurants in the area, but when we went by them, they were all closed since it was still early in the evening, then we came across Osteria del Pesce, and I am so thankful we did. We ended up having one of our best meals during our two week stay in Italy. The calamari was incredible, and it truly was the best we have ever had. I want to go back just to eat at this restaurant and have this meal again. The owners were very kind and accommodating. It was a great meal and we had a great time before our flight the next morning. Love Italy, and so thankful for experiences of eating high quality food like we had at this restaurant.

This restaurant was a total suprise. First impression was of a normal Italian fish restaurant. Then the fun began. ......a remarkable succession of antipasti arrived from the kitchen. We ate so many original delicious dishes that I was unable to eat any more. The others in the group went for a fantastic lobster, beautifully garnished, or crayfish. Also available, a large selection of home made deserts. The standard of cusine is extremely high and I would most definitely recommend this restaurant with it's engaging owner. Good service. Reservations recommended

I found myself once again staying in a Rome Airport Hotel and couldnât face yet another clinical overpriced meal in a hotel restaurant when I know down the road local restaurants would provide much better value with better food. I found this restaurant on google maps and I am so glad I looked and made the effort. The restaurant is worth the trip just to see the decor and take in the atmosphere ( even though the Tuesday night I was there it wasnât very busy) The service was extremely friendly and professional. The seafood is not only very fresh but served up tasting so good. I asked if they could make me up a seafood pasta dish and they came up with a wonderful dish. The restaurant is well worth the short taxi ride if like me you find your self in a soulless hotel near the airport. Iâm going back there next time Iâm in Rome . Oh and itâs not cheap but still extremely reasonable considering how good the food and service is.

A small and cozy Restaurant located on the seafront with special fish dishes and genuine cooking. It has a veranda for summer and a smile always available.
While staying at the nearby Best Western the night before an early flight, we found Il Ristorante on Trip Advisor's "The Fork" offering a 20% discount for a 7:30pm reservation. After fantastic meals all week in Rome, we had no expectation that our last evening would also be such a great dining experience. Because Italians usually eat much later, we were the only diners until later. We were greeted and served by the owner/manager who even brought us a complimentary starter which was delicious and some crunchy garlic bread. My husband loved his potato encrusted fish with a mixed salad, and I enjoyed tuna coated in sesame with a side of roasted potato slices. We asked the owner for his suggestion of a dessert -- a cream dish with chocolate and nuts -- outstanding! Our thanks to the owner as well as to The Fork for a memorable meal!

Stumbled upon this restaurant. Tough to find seafood close to Rome airport. This place was sooo accommodating and at end of meal, they offered samples of mussels which were best I have ever had. And I did not think I liked mussels!

In the taxi on the way back from Ostia Antica we asked the driver to recommend a restaurant. He made a cell call. In Fiumicino, he stopped in front of this osteria, waved at a guy serving tables, and told us, "Here we are...go say hello to Massimo." Not wishing to be impolite, we paid the fare and were ushered to an outdoor table. At no charge were some little finger-food items and a basket of great homemade bread. We shared an antipasto of tonno crudo; one of us had spaghetti with a seafood/tomato sauce, the other a specialty pasta with tender polpo. A dessert of frangipane and a bottle of wine brought our bill to 93 euro. Sure, it was a bit high but the food was really delicious and on our last day in Italy why not?

Excellent fish location .. apparently an institution, minutes away from Fiumincino airport. Their cold / warm antipasti are a blast. Good wine card. Family owned business since ages.. nice to expérience this kind of tradition. Having been here a few times in the past 10 years I regret to sense a kind of slowdown and self sufficiency.. too sure of themselves ? Probably. Value for money is absolutely arguable .. â¬120 for 2 people only having antipasti, dessert, normal wine and coffee is pretty heavy and questionable .. not sure Iâll be back.

At Fiumicino, Via dei Dioscuri 77, a few steps from the Lungomare della Salute, there is the Restaurant Villa San Giorgio. For those who want to eat in a quiet and reserved, well-groomed, but that puts you at ease, for those who appreciate the true value
The ambiance and atmosphere here is absolutely gorgeous! It overlooks the part of the ocean known as the Tyrrhenian Sea. The food was completely on point and delicious. We had a wonderful red key aunty half bottle of wine, split a fried calamari appetizer that was the best version we have ever had and each had a risotto dish. We completed the evening with their tiramisu which was phenomenal and very moist. While the food was remarkable, the atmosphere and ambience right by the water was so quaint and definitely well liked by the locals.
