Booking is strongly recommended. Situated just a few steps away from the Roman Baths, our attractive and atmospheric restaurant is located in a charming candle lit historical cellar of natural Bath stone with vaulted ceilings throughout, and resembles the
We were not disappointed with our first visit here. There are always high expectations when a restaurant has such great reviews so itâs a joy when those reviews are clearly well deserved. We were met by lovely welcoming staff whoâs friendly and warm approach continued throughout the birthday lunch for our Son. He lives in Bath and was desperate to go having heard such good things about it.Itâs a great atmosphere in the stone walled cellar of one of Baths typical Georgian houses. It was quite hot in there despite it being rather cold and wet outside. We started with some King Prawn bruschetta which was simply divine and one had the mushroom which again was superb. My main course I really didnât want to come to an end. Penne with mushrooms, walnuts and Gorgonzola.....I can not tell you how amazing this dish was. The rest of our party each had something different and not one of us could do anything other than lavish praise for the food. We had some fabulous ice cream for dessert and the restaurant did a discrete Happy Birthday on a plate with a small candle in our Sons portion (he hates a fuss) so this was the perfect touch,The staff were attentive without crowding you, a perfect balance of impeccable customer service. We had an absolutely superb time there, wonderful food, thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back again.

The Green Bird Cafe is an independently owned cafe nestled between the Circus & Royal Crescent in Bath, UK. Open from 8am, six days a week, serving great breakfast, such as scrambled eggs with smoked salmon & pancakes with crispy bacon & maple syrup. Lunc
I was visiting Bath and looking for a cafe for lunch where I could take my 2 dogs and was directed here by a local resident. What a find! The service couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful and the staff were genuine dog lovers. I had a delicious toasted sandwich on sourdough with salad and the price was very reasonable. A great lunch discovery.

The breakfast took 35 minutes. Only two occupied tables. Two poached eggs and porridge should not take 35 minutes (and then they forgot the side order). This used to be a great Spanish-run restaurant where we've eaten many times. The food was still very good, but the new ownership are hobbyists, amateurs. Throughout a dog wandered around the restaurant tables and behind the counter' I've taught Hotel & Catering. In hygiene terms this is not acceptable. We won't ever eat there again.
