The Mustard Seed Cafe has daily specials posted on Facebook. We tried it for the first time going for their Ultimate Grilled Cheese. Delicious. Came with chips. Iced tea was plentiful and to help the environment you drink out of mason jars. The Cafe has some items in a cooler but otherwise your order at cash register and it is delivered to your table. Small seating area, maybe 20 seats. Located within health food grocery. Ample parking.

We visited here 1 year ago and had an exceptional experience. In fact it was so great we put it on our go to list. Breakfast was fresh and they had a special everyday. The server was Friendly welcoming and most attentive. Freshly baked scones as well. Our trip down this time the Lodge was booked so had stayed down the way and planned on a wonderful breakfast at the Lodge since we were in town. What a HUGE diss appointment!!!We were not greeted upon entering the dining area. In fact the young girl kept her back towards us head keep down. No warm greeting no scones and no hospitality like before. I inquired about a special ( there were none) then asked about the biscuits. Well they were not freshly baked and were made with palm oil!! This is poor quality. The cook did make a bagel, though I had to ask for cream cheese to go with it as it was not offered. Then I requested 2 poached eggs and tomatoes. The eggs were undercooked and unedible due to the amount of vinegar that was put in the water. No water was brought to the table. Never were we asked if everything was ok. Where's the hospitality? Then we went to pay and the older lady at the front was very unpleasant and wrapped really tight!! We asked if we could just pay for the bagel and yogurt I ate as I cannot have oil and am unable to eat off the buffet style food they offer. She suggested to place an order with the cook , which I explain did not go well. My husband enjoyed the buffet style food but missed the chefs special like before. She was unconcerned that my eggs we not edible and did not care I had not wanted anything other than a bagel and yogurt and charged us the full price $17. We paid it , moved on and have now taken this once exceptional place off our list of go to places!!So disappointing this place has changed and is no longer of such great quality.
