Nice clean and big restaurant which serves delicious plates. The staff is very friendly and helpfull, asking if everything is ok or if you want more. Ingredients are Always fresh and prepared like they should be. Waiting times are normal and so are the prices. They are famous for the Zeeuwse Mosselen but other dishes are great too. There are seperate spaces for parties and family gatherings, they also have two terraces and a playground in summer for the kids. definatly worth a visit.

I have known "Onder de Linden" for over 40 years when it was a village café with the actual chef's parents as owners."Onder de Linden" has 3 main themes spread over the year: starting with spring asparagus, the white gold, summer features certified Oosterschelde lobster and autumn brings locally "produced" phaesant and hare. Portions are always very generous. The setting is an elegant, stylish brasserie where Chantal, the chef's wife, keeps an eye on perfect service.Year after year we always find "a full house" and apart from modernizing the setting and tableware, very little has changed and as far as I am concerned: there is no need to change honest food at a reasonable price.f

Whilst staying with friends we were taken to De Oude Haven Mosselrestaurant. This restaurant is situated in the middle of the town called Philippines. Whilst Philippines is a small town it is full of seafood and fish restaurants. Their speciality is mussels. We entered the restaurant, which was packed with customers and greeted by the owner, who showed us to a table. The drinks list and the food menu is extensive. I had prawns for my starter course and mussels for my main. The prawns were delicious as too were the mussels. The mussels when they arrived are astonishing. All four of us had the same, and the mussels came to us in batches for two people. The bowl that they arrived in was absolutely enormous. There were so many to eat. They were delicious. The staff were attentive, efficient and friendly. A perfect restaurant in which to have a delicious meal. Highly recommended. A note: all of our clothes smelt of mussels the next morning.

This place is a classic fish and mussel restaurant. It serves perfect seafood, with shellfish at its best. We loved the oysters and the house speciality mussels (moules) are a real treat! The owner and staff are really friendly and make you feel at home. Worth a visit! And so is the region.

We were visiting relatives in Zelzate, Belgium and they asked us if we like to have mussels for lunch. We love mussels so we said yes, and they took us to this little restaurant in the Nederlands. It was delicious, the mussels were awesome! I recommend it to anyone who likes mussels. I'm looking forward to going again soon. The staff is very friendly as well.Website: www.mosselbank,nl

First time ever that i have eaten lobster. Going to do it again. Not for the Lobster itself, because i'm wondering why people are going completely poetic about this. For a big eater the amount of meat inside a lobster is NOT enough :D. But due to the fact that we had a 4 course diner, at the end of it my tummy was still happy.Friendly and helfpful staff; nice restaurant, nice garden, plenty and delicious side dishes. But if you are inclined to do, make sure to make a reservation a lot before. We had to wait a month... But it was more then worth the wait. We'll be back

We stayed at the Royal Hotel and nearly had a meal there - not much choice. We dicided to go around the corner and founnd this great restaurant. What a find. There were only 4 staff serving about 50 people. 2 were in the kitchen and one was serving the tables, and one was serving drinks. Although the menu wasn't in English, the waitress translated it for us at the table. She offered us the wonderful line " This is scampi with, er, what do you call it . . . . .I don't know the word in English You know it, it's the thing that the vampires are frightened of . . . " "Garlic?" "That's it! Garlic. Scampi in garlic."Try the wonderful stooflies (flemish stew) with the local draught Belgian beer.

We did the wine-dine-sleep formula with friends. Price for the whole programme, including a 5 course dinner with carefully selected superb wines, followed by spending the night in a large and comfortable hotelroom and a good breakfast for 129 euro per person, which is a bargain, seen the quality of the food and the services. We do this once or twice a year since a couple of years now, and are never dissapointed.

The âDen Hof Hotel-Restaurantâ is housed in a stunningly renovated mansion. The restaurant is well-known for its excellent French/Belgian cuisine. Authentic dishes are produced by the family and guests can choose from an extensive exclusive wine list. The
