This restaurant was recommended to us and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The setting is amazing surrounded by beautiful flowers and an incredible ocean view from the top of the hill. The food was excellent from the appetizers to the fresh fish and the service was really incredible.

Location is good, however mains dishes seem to be on average a couple of euros more expensive for the traditional Greek dishes in comparison to similar restaurants that we have visited. We ate at Taverna Dimitri three times over four days (one breakfast, one lunch, one dinner). We tried other places as well, but were so warmly welcomed by the owner and the whole staff here that we felt right at home. This is a family owned and operated business that takes great pride in serving authentic local cuisine, individually prepared to order using high quality fresh ingredients. Vegetarians note: the menu has an entire vegetarian section.Save room for their frigania - rich, creamy, and not excessively sweet like other nearby places. And be sure to try the family-made raki; the best I tasted on the island. If you're visiting from afar, order something you consider adventuresome, try to pronounce the dishes in Greek, show appreciation for the culture. Genuine interest will be reciprocated with extreme hospitality. On the other hand, if you're protective, entitled, or demanding, you might consider elsewhere.

We went with our two kids and everyone was super kind (one year old children can be pretty intense...). We felt at home and the food is delicious: chicken souvlaki is amazing!!!!! Thanks for the experience and thank you for welcoming our families in your beautiful taverna!

Passed the restaurant by chance and happy I did. The service was amazing and the food matched, nice atmosphere in the local area. Food was fresh best Iâve had on the island! Definitely coming back and Christos also what service, made the whole experience complete.

Brilliant food and charming services.We had octopus wich was delicioas and for the kids we shared salmon. Everything was perfect.Restaurant looks also very good.For sure we will return again if we will revisit the island.We recommand to the owner to introduce as sidedish for the octopus spicy corn in a pan with butter. Many thanks.

Prosilio is without any doubts my favourite fine dining restaurant in down town ZakynthosFood is very tasty and well presented. Husband and I went here on the back of the other trip advisor reviews. Wanted a nice, laid back, non-pushy taverna off the main road. It ticked most boxes. We werenât offered bread but a bottle of water instead which was welcomed. We ordered kleftiko and stifado (Greek staples!) and werenât disappointed. Service was a tad slow but we werenât in any rush. Lovely dessert afterwards. And not too costly either unlike another taverna we visited for lunch.

If you are looking for a small piece of heaven...you can find it in Porto Kaminia beach bar. Excellent food, kind and warm staff. Sunbeads and shades are free of charge. Sandy beach, as well as grass area. Also great for kids, for they offer a playground as well.Thank you very much Aleksandar!
