After passing this restaurant hundreds of times, we finally decided to visit. They definitely do the best fish and chips in Amsterdam. The chips were as close to what youâd get in the UK as possible, plus they had excellent quality fish and a great selection of beers too. We both had cod and chips each, and shared the shrimp croquettes. All food was excellent. Service was very friendly too. The price tag reflects the quality...if visiting from the UK donât expect to pay what you usually would in your local chip shop. This is more gourmet fish and chips rather than cheap as chips :)We will definitely be back and are relieved to have found somewhere for fish and chip Friday!Hi,So happy to read we finally won you over after passing hundreds of times. Vanaf de eerste seconden dat we binnen stonden was het een en al gezelligheid en gastvrijheid. Hier ben je niet in een uitgedacht horecaconcept, maar op visite bij een familie waar je hartelijk welkom bent. En die bovendien erg goed kookt! Oke, de locatie met uitzicht op een jaren 60 flatgebouw mag dan weinig spannend zijn, wij hadden toch meer oog voor de gerechten die feestelijk waren opgemaakt. In de zomer is het terras aan het water een aanrader voor koffie met carrot cake hoorden we van anderen. Misschien deze zomer maar eens de fietsen meenemen als we naar Zaandam gaan.

Probably the best restaurant in Amsterdam or right up at the top . This restaurant is tucked away in a park . They serve mostly mussels and frittes in a variety of ways. All very delicious. You can Uber to it . Moderately price and an adequate quantity to satisfy a hungry person. The drinks are mostly infused gin . Think Hendricks and ever flower tonic . They are also wonderful. Staff is very attentive with mostly local people. You will love it if youâre into mussels.

I highly reccomend this greek restaurant. Food is excelent. Staff is very friendly and speaks english. We were so thrilled with the food that we did not want to eat out in Amsterdam but rather returned to dinner in Zaandam. I even drunk Ouzo even though I never drink apperitives.

A great place on the north side of Zaandam city center. Almost all dishes at â¬10 or less in a café/cafeteria setting. Good size portions and good service. Some nights can be quite busy so eating early would be your best bet. Daily blackboard specials available as well.The All-you-can-eat Spareribs are great.

Stopped by for lunch. This is an upscale cafe with a very diverse menu. The food was tasty and the staff was friendly and efficient.. The restaurant is only a few months old and is quite clean and fresh.

We were here last May and couldnât wait to come back.This system of ordering 5 times max 5 portions of sushi and other dishes each, is great and good value. We like to eat but are not big eaters, so we never get the max out of it, but other guests do and itâs amusing to see what people around you order and devour.Itâs a system that doesnât exist in my adopted home country Switzerland, but would be greatly welcomed, provided the prices are kept reasonable.Staff very friendly, nice house-wine that goes well with the food, and great choice on the menu. Weâll be back soon!

Every time I visit Zaandam I come here . Nice historic atmosphere. Typically good food.Very limited bar unless you like beer. WaitressSaid âDutch drink beerâ.... you can forget a Manhattan They always had wonderful classic onion soup. Tonight they changed the receipt. Heavy tomato flavoring. Simply horrible. Mentioned it to two servers and manager : they laughed it off. I guessDutch donât complain about crappy soup.

We were here for a day, and was staying across the street and saw this place here, which seemed to be busy with people eating. The menu looked good and pricing seemed reasonable so we decided to give it a go! We ordered one of those multi course meals and ate outside as it was beautiful weather! Food was delicious - the vanilla ice cream was so tasty and the waitress informed us they order it from an outside place, and it came with this rich chocolate syrup and it tasted SO good. For appetizer, I had thin slices of watermelon with prosciutto and my main course was fish! Everything was delicious and it was a TON of food. If this place was in my hometown, I'd go here again for a special occasion dinner. This place has an English menu and everyone also spoke good English, so it was easy to communicate. Knowing we were tourists, the male waiter offered to take a picture of me and my boyfriend (we didn't even ask) and towards the end of the dinner, we asked for direction help on getting to the airport. There was a female waitress and she was so kind and helpful and looked up the timing of the train for us and directed us for our early flight for the next morning. We also didn't feel rushed with our dinner even though it was getting late and there was only 1 other person dining. We found the train the next morning and made it safely to the airport - thank you so much!Dear miss, THANK YOU for writing this very, very kind review! Above all, we love to read that you enjoyed the food and the service so much. Came here with big group for lunch. Place is big and can house a lot of people. Food was excellent, I loved the cod fish, but service is slow. The restaurant is located in a famous attraction in Zaandam. Although service is slow, but to me, it was worth the wait.
