Service was very slow , my husband had fish and chips which was a very meagre portion of both, after waiting at the end of the meal I was asked do you want dessert, when I said yes , I was asked what do you want , I had not been given the menu so had to asked well what do you have ,still no menu as she reeled off desserts standing over us while we decided.I had ordered mussels and one was really badly off it smelt awful , as was the same at a table next to us . Both tables asked to speak to the chef who eventually came out with two bowls of mussels this was after I had eaten dessert . I suggested he stop serving any more mussels before he killed someone. He tried to argue with us , can you believe . And to top it off we were overcharged by $60 , if we hadnât checked the bill . No way to run a restaurant.Hi MarilynYour frustration is understandable. Our Chef came out as soon as he could leave the stove with 2 complimentary bowls of Mussels only to come out and apologise, not argue, and explain to you and the table next to yours ( who eventually understood the situation) that we buy mussels in sealed kg bags and from time to time ( I would rather say rarely) this problem may occur. You kept insisting about stop serving them and we were only trying to make you understand that wasn't "the batch" as you suggested it but that particular package. And yes we agreed with you. You also mentioned that out of 4 only 1 was bad. Our serve of fish and chips are normally generous and we couple that dish with a premium glass of wine for $25. However, we also offer bigger serve of fried seafood on our menu. There was only your table of 4 and another few at that time/ night and we disagree about the over all service. We prefer to explain what dessert we have, at time, as we like to interact with diners, we find that a little less formal. All in all we have tried handle your complain as best as we could and I apologise if you were accidentally overcharged. It was a genuine mistake from our staff member due to be in a training and not quite familiar with the system yet, therefore you had all the right to be upset. Unfortunately we do not tolerate patronising behaviour toward any staff member. The customer is always right. Not the rude one

We were just driving past, back from Sydney, heading to Umina Beach and saw the shop - decided to get Fish'n'Chips on the Beach DinnerBeing Kiwis we are really fussy of course - but got inside, it looked and felt fresh and clean, the Cook/Waitress was just awesome and were able to joke about Kiwis (found out the owner was a kiwi too)UNFORTUNATELY we never ordered enough of the yummy chips! Chips at places are normally horrible and we normally chuck them out - but there were FANTASTIC - fresh, crispy outer, perfectly cooked innersFish, like ALL places too expensive, but it was pretty yummy (couple of bones, but the fish shops fresh fish we bough had more!) Overall a wonderful experience and would def head back ...

Nice restaurant with good water views and protection from the wind if required winter with heaters. The chairs arenât the most comfortable but the staff are nice and friendly. We had breakfast which was OK, but the coffee was very nice.We will return.Hi Geoffrey,Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Next time you come down, give the tables a go that have booth styled seating! All the chairs have padding on them, but the booths have thicker pads on the seats and might be a little more to your liking! We look forward to seeing you soon! King Tide.

I'm surprised to see such glowing reviews but perhaps they do a better job at lunch or dinner. We experienced breakfast at The Boathouse. While service was pleasant, there seemed to be a lack of attention to detail. We were given crumpled paper menus (not a great look) and each staff member looked slightly disheveled and were in different clothing. My aunt ordered a tea and received loose leaf so I decided to order one but I received a Twinings teabag. Not quite the same. My breakfast was fine, nothing special. I went to order a $7 juice but was told it was Golden Circle. Who in their right mind is paying $7 for shelf juice?! We just felt that in this beautiful location they could be doing so much more. Wouldn't go back as there are several places on the Coast that outshine this venue.

Four work friends spent an hour at Pelicans Restaurant at Woy Woy pub on Saturday, with dining room opening at 12 noon, a queue to enter was quite long. We ventured into the public bar while waiting, but it was not for us, very much a very working mans pub.Lunch of a Caesar salad, shared seafood platter and fish and chips were all very good and reasonably priced. Limited wine choices in Bistro bar, and overlooking parking area was not ideal, but you get what you pay for. Staff friendly, parking nearby, quick service with high chairs available and clean modern restrooms.

A merry old seafood joint in the best little town on Earth called Woy Woy, sitting on a jetty on Brisbane Water on the beautiful NSW Central Coast. A seafood market, take away fish & chip shop and a killer laid back restaurant. Come for a very very very c
Another amazing lunch! As a restaurant worker in Sydney Iâm very pleased to have come across this gem, every time we drive up the coast we stop here and weâve always have incredibly tasty and inventive dishes. The star of the place, aside from the fresh seafood, is Alessandra. Her knowledge about food and wine and her customer skills are better than many more pretentious/expensive Sydneyâs restaurants maître dâ. Wine list is fantastic with most of the wines available by the glass. Great view to match. Canât wait for the next visit!
