Reviews on Seafood food in Windhoek, Khomas Region, Namibia. Many visitors to Namibia start their adventure in Windhoek, the capital and largest city of this South African country. Nama, Herero, German, Afrikaans, and British cultures have influenced the growth and development of Windhoek. Visit the statue of Hosea Kutako, a nationalist hero, in the gardens surrounding the Tintenpalast, the seat of the Namibian legislature, or chow down on ostrich kebab or zebra steak at Joe’s Beerhouse before leaving on a safari into the Namibian wilderness.
Things to do in Windhoek
We visited this restaurant when we had been looking around Windhoek at the end of our holiday. It was a Sunday and everywhere else seemed to be closed. The restaurant is located next to the meteors, next to the shopping centre. It was nice and clean and the service was good. It wasn't too busy because we were there early afternoon when most people had probably already eaten. This is a chain restaurant but the food was good and reasonably priced. The prawns were good value. We paid by credit card but they said the machine often doesn't work and you need to go and get cash from the cash machine. The loo's are also very clean.

Was hanging for calamari. I had been to CTFM once before and it was not good, however decided to give it another go.Big big mistake!!! I ordered grilled calamari, chips and fresh chili on the side. I specifically asked for calamari grilled and tubes, the chips sans the chip spices that seem so popular here!! The food arrived - 30min after the 1st beer had been consumed and the 2nd had arrived - back to the food. Calamari strips no,tubes, chips, with chip spice, no fresh chili I got the peri peri sauce which did not look fresh and was not looking great overall.Although the food was not what i ordered I was at this stage hungry, another mistake should have politely paid for the beers and leftThe calamari was really chewy and not grilled, it was pan fried.CTFM you really need to sort this out. Not sure there will be a 3rd visit

I think this is in a hotel, but don't have the name of the hotel.
I have visited Kubata 3 times and it was a wonderful experience every time. Paelle and seafood platters are winners. You taste prawn when you eat prawn and the same for the calamari, flavours does not intefere with each other on the same platter. Don Pedro - don delicious. Friendly people and service is fine.

As one of Windhoekâs finest gourmet restaurants, and the only one in Namibia currently awarded the prestigeous Chaîne des Rôtisseurs plaque, Am Weinberg Restaurant offers the sophisticated diner a health oriented and well crafted menu in a homely yet eleg
New restaurant with an international chef at a very new 5 star hotel. Meals are tapas-like sizes, but not too expensive for that. The food is above standard, however, the service is far below any acceptable standards. Our waitress came to take orders and deliver orders and not a single time in-between, e.g. to ask for more drinks, a dessert etc. And the "bang" at the "end": they simply switch off the lights of restaurant at 22 hrs. No further info, people were still sitting and having dessert/drinks and they simply left us in the dark. According to the waitress, the lights go off and on automatically. An unacceptable behaviour for such a restaurant in a 5 star environment!

Every day's a great day to eat at Sicilia. Enjoy today's cuisine prepared with the same family secret. A really tasty meal, a relaxed family style, and signature grills to satisfy every appetite. Sicilia Ristorante, Pizzeria, Gelateria. LIfe's short, try
The food was okay for Italian in a non-European country and very decently priced. However, as a friend had dietary restrictions (no beef), we ordered a pizza which was ham based with mushrooms. To his horror, the tomato sauce actually contained beef! They had simply slathered bolognaise as a base on the pizza! And we did check, the order was correct. We asked for the menu again so that he might make another order - it never came and so the birthday boy had to go hungry...When the bill came, we had a surprise. Another friend's drink order was charged wrongly and they had upsized it as well. We thought we would clarify but the serving staff was rather defensive. We simply paid up and left.
