Weâve passed this place so many times when visiting Lake Charles but never thought to stop. On a recent weekend trip, looking for a casual breakfast, we came across the highly rated Leonardâs and decided to give it a try. Wife ordered the Cajun, egg and cheese biscuit while I ordered the same as a burrito. We ordered both as combos with a hash brown and drink, and also got an order of three jalapeño and cheese fried boudin. Nothing was amazing but everything was simple and just GOOD. Prices for the combos are hard to beat with the serving sizes, and the biscuits were obviously freshly made and wonderful. We look forward to returning for lunch on our next trip.

Traveling on business and this place came recommended. A Friday night and it wasn't very busy. I ordered the special which was grilled and fried shrimp and shrimp étouffée. It was pretty nicely done. The only complaint is the grilled shrimp were over-peppered. Rolls were not brought until after the entree was brought. The worst part was the ambiance of the restaurant. The noise level was uncomfortably high. The constant yelling from the kitchen was unprofessional and a distraction. There are cloth tablecloths on the tables, but very cheap and old flatware.I would probably try another rest

This buffet is pretty consistent, as well as pricey. It is usually good, with many choices, that donât change much. For whatever reason, most of the workers behind the buffet are just plain rude and unfriendly, we have been visiting here for years and itâs always like that. Iâm big on customer service and am always nice to them, but most of the time it isnât reciprocated. There of course are a few who are nice. The wait staff are always nice and attentive. The dinner buffet is truly not worth the price. Even though they have seafood on the dinner buffet, they donât include the crab legs in the 34.00 price any longer, but you can add like a pound for an additional 12.99 or so! Funny all of the other buffets can afford to include them in their lower priced dinners . So basically if I donât get my meal comped, I skip the dinner.

Based on the "Farmer's Pick" description, we expected lots of good vegetables. Unfortunately, must of them were overcooked mush, over seasoned, and cold. Normally we call all find something that we like on a buffet, but everyone was disappointed. Service was good but food not so much. We should have noted that the place was empty before we paid.Hi there, we appreciate your feedback about your experience at Farmer's Pick Buffet. We dined here with a large. Our table was ready upon arrival. Service was very good. Everyone enjoyed their dinners immensely. We all had a variety of food from fish dishes to steak and salad entrees. We also shared the soufflé which was a perfect ending to our dinner. Will definitely eat here again when in town.Thank you for your business, we are so happy that you had a great time, hopping to see back soon.

Went on a Thursday night and was surprised to find live music that was very entertaining. The food was great we went with the gumbo and the half shrimp poor boy with bowl of gumbo and fries. There was more than enough shrimp on the sandwich and everything was tasty and well prepared. The staff was very attentive and the food came after a short ticket time. We had planned on going to another similar business two doors down but it was dead and this place was jumping. Interesting concept with seafood and Mexican food, best of both worlds collide.

If you like, no if you love seafood, this is the place. It's down home with a friendly local feel. We could not have been treated more nicely than we were. Options were carefully explain and then the feast began. We do not live in an area where you can get fresh shrimp. You can here and they are good. The gumbo was great and the grilled shrimp was also a winner. You can get a bib, a roll of paper towels and a large container of baby wipes to help sop up the juices and debris. We loved our meal. Thanks you'all.

The true flavor of Gulf Coast tradition is all about family, warmth and exceptional seafood. Landry's Seafood strives to bring all of those things together in each and every location, providing a fun-filled dining experience that will make you want to dro
I was so disappointed at THIS Landry's. While eating fried shrimp I found poo. They didn't clean the shrimp properly. There were two others and their plates were suffering the same fate. So I call the manager over and he looks at the crap and says they need to do better. Then he offered us free dessert. What???? Nooooo or if they could make it over? I'm pretty sure at this point all the shrimp has poo strings. I'm a member of their club and the Landry's in Houston is always great. Note: look at your shrimp before dipping.

This was a great find. Thought I had tried all the eats at the Holden Nugget. Discovered Chart House and tried it. It was unbelievable. Great food, great service, better atmosphere than any other at the Nugget. It is on the expensive side but was worth every penny. Canât wait to go back.
