Reviews on Seafood food in Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Canada. Home to the longest freshwater beach in the world, Wasaga Beach is a summer tourist destination located just two hours north of Toronto. The white sandy beach stretches more than 14 kilometers (8.7 miles) on Nottawasaga Bay and welcomes more than 2 million visitors every summer. Because of its size, the beach is divided into six smaller beaches, so if you would like to steer clear of tourists and crowds who flock to Beach 1 and 2, make your way to Beaches 4 or 5 for a more private and quiet afternoon. Wasaga Beach is also home to many recreational trails and the Nottawasaga River is good for game fishing, canoeing and boating.

All we can say is WOW. Second visit for us but this time we decided to try the Surf and Turf. It was absolutely incredible. We started with the Fresh Ousters on the 1/2 shell and they were so fresh. The Steak was perfectly prepared and exactly as we had requested. The Lobster tail was very large and really plump and succulent. I definitely Must Try is the Tempura which comes with Rosemary. If you have never has Tempura Rosemary you haven't lived!. We finished off the experience with Creme Brule which was you can expect was delicious. Bob (Owner) visited us during the meal to ensure that we were completely satiated. The waiter we had attended the table very well, We were never short of anything Next visit to Wasaga will certainly include a return to Catch 22

We had brunch on Victoria Day Sunday. The food was plentiful, and the french toast was especially good. Absolutely the best coconut cream pie ever! We enjoyed the friendly and hospitable service and will definitely return. If you're in Wasaga, stop in for a good wholesome meal and very nice staff who will treat you well.

Barcelos original Steak and Seafood Restaurant in Wasaga Beach. Open all year round, with an 80 seat patio in the summer for your dinning pleasure
Cute little place in Wasaga, unexpectedly overall great food and knowledgable and friendly staff. The Paella Special for two was fantastic, more than enough for two, with a fresh and clean taste, and plenty of real seafood (and chicken and Chorizo) in it; the best I have eaten in Canada! The other dishes also looked very yummy, which we may try next time. Yes you pay more than at other places, but you also get better quality. The owner is also very personable and passionate about Portuguese food. On a side note: even as a smoker you can go into a little separate backyard, and don't have to stand on the street... As for the one-man entertainer: meh...

We have been here several times ..... and today we had lunch for two. The portions were good, and the fish crispy and tasty. The homemade tartar sauce is the best I've had. The service was friendly and fast. As a newer restaurant, it appears that things are running more smoothly. We will definitely be going back.
