Great poke bowl. Tried two types of poke went with the spicy wow. Bring a big appetite lots of food. Others had Kuala pig and fried chicken. All enjoyed and huge. Staff was friendly and made us feel like family. fresh fresh fish. Great place
Lots of poorly prepared food:( This is a great place to take somebody you don't care about them. Food was bland and lifeless. Will not be going back.
I'm hesitant to write this because, quite selfishly, I don't want too many people to know about it. Indebted to other TripAdvisor reviewers for risking the chance their discoveries might become inconveniently popular, I'll apply the Golden Rule here. Why 5 stars for a plastic-tableware, styrofoam-container fast food restaurant situated inside a busy Filipino supermarket out in Waipahu (a little more than halfway around Pearl Harbor from Honolulu)? Woderfully-seasoned inexpensive grilled fish, that's why. The menu might be a tad streamlined from the options at the Grill City locations on the West Coast, but we could eat the tilapia and bangus every friggin' day not just because it's always so perfectly prepared but also due to the price: $9 feeds both me and The Lovely Mrs. HH. We split the salsa-stuffed fish and "naked" salad (hardly -- it's a generous mixture of veggies and a little tofu topped with a mild, sweet dressing). We spread the salad over the two cups of perfectly cooked white rice that also come with the meal. The grilled pork and chicken are also excellent, but we haven't tried the squid yet. The fish compares favorably with lunch fare at Nico's in Honolulu; I'd say it's actually a little better.Waipahu's Grill City and the Seafood City Supermarket are the first of both to open in Hawaii and are still pretty new. The store, in a nice strip mall, is very clean but can be quite busy. The cooks work their magic on large flaming grills for all to see. If you're not hungry when you walk in, you are after watching about 30 seconds of that. We like to show up early for lunch, about 10. One more note: We're crazy about good little eateries located in grocery stores/supermarkets. It's great to just go through the aisles and inexpensively grab whatever we crave to complement our meal (in this case, it would be things like mango juice and Filipino snacks/desserts) and to munch on at the beach. Ambience schmambience; it's pleasant, friendly and healthy -- and gets us on our way to leeward shores by 10:30 in the morning.NOTE: It gets a 3 for "Special occasions" due to the big, clean party room next to Grill City and some killer prices on an assortment of platters.

Conveniently located next to the Arizona Memorial Visitor center, it's the perfect place for military families, local residents or visitors who are just passing through to enjoy a quality meal with a breathtaking view and world class service. Don't forget
Was in the area and this was by far the highest rated place to eat on TripAdvisor. Had fish and chips, also went for the garden salad add in for only $5.00 so a bargain! Had an âArnold Palmerâ (half tea, half lemonade)â, the drink was the worst part of the meal.Overall a fun place to be, think roof top sports bar with better food. As mentioned multiple times, very nice views. If looking for a cold drink and some lunch or dinner, I do not think you will be disappointed.

Local friends told us about this awesome unassuming poke joint hiding in a strip mall. It was fresh and delicious. Highly, highly recommend!!! Super casual, tables outside if you want to eat there. No ambiance but doesn't matter...best poke we had on the trip and it had some fancy competition!

Take Out, Catering, Hawaiian, Japanese, Local food.
I was impressed. A family owned and run business. We were picking up catering for a business meeting. There was a line of folks out the door just getting their lunch. There were a dozen workers just on the counter. It was busy. Friendly and well run. Very impressed. Looks like a hole in the wall but i would call it a hidden gem!Love it. @nickellfamilytravel
