Sure, Vatican City is tiny—110 acres—but it houses the world's largest Catholic church (St. Peter's Basilica) and has perhaps the best collection of artistic masterpieces in the world (the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo's Pieta, the Laocoon Group, etc.). And maybe only 800 people live here, but one of them's the Pope. It's a pretty good argument for quality over quantity.

In the historical area of Borgo, in the vicinity of Saint Peter's Cathedral, we offer a modern and creative menu based on seafood and selected meats, in a cosy and comfortable setting.
Another great evening with my partner, to say the very least! This restaurant was by far one of the best that we had in this amazing city! Our server, Mariella, was such a gracious host and well-informed when posed questions regarding wines, digestives, and food. I actually fell in love with a digestive: AMARO (Fernet-Branca, green in color). My partner did not like it too much, yet I do not like Campari very much, so we were even there. As for the food, both the presentation and the taste were exquisite. I enjoyed the Caprino cheese tart (cheese pumpkin black cabbage mushroom) and ravioli with potatoes (homemade, ragusano cheese, mint, crunchy nuts and honey) and was pleasantly satisfied. We had a very nice bottle of red wine (Sole di Sesta Cottanera), and it was so good that we bought another bottle to take with us. Mariella, the Russian & American guys send you nothing but love and look forward to visiting you and your establishment again! My dear RuneZio, You have no idea how much this review meant to me. While I was reading the first lines I had no idea who you were. Then it became clear to me that it was my friend with the beautiful long blond hair. Thank you for your beautiful words and compliments. I can tell you put a lot of effort and I'm very grateful for that. I don't know where you are working right now, I'm sure you are far away, but I"m looking forward to your next visit. I'm sending back love to you both. Mariella

We were recommended this trattoria by our host and arrived early to find a buzzing atmosphere, with a mix of locals and tourists. This was by far the most welcoming service we have experienced on any city break. Rasal and Carlo not only offered fantastic service but made the meal a true delight. The Roman food was delicious and the 3 of us each enjoyed our dishes. I particularly enjoyed the Crunchy Artichoke and Roast lamb with potatoes. The pasta dishes were also superb! The house wine was reasonably priced and very palatable, teaming well with the food. We returned here twice during our 4 night stay in Rome and on each occasion the bill was incredibly reasonable and we were overwhelmed by the hospitality, which even included some homemade biscuits to take back for breakfast!! We really cannot recommend Ragno dâoro highly enough!

Went on recommendation of hotel consierge. He said it was seafood restaurant - but assumed we could order other items. Menu in 100% Italian and waiter spoke not enough english to help. He was very solicitous - but told us that they did not have an American/English menu. Food almost exclusively raw. If you like that - and speak Italian to know what you are ordering - you are in better shape then us tonight.Insanely overpriced - for what we knew we were ordering let alone what they prepared for us.

My friends and I travel to Rome once a year, and although it's hard to find bad Italian food, it's really special when we find something this good. We were so impressed with the food and the service, we came back again for more! Highly recommend the antipasta - we had the meatballs (twice), the Crostone cacio ova e tartufo, the Carpaccio di baccalà , insalata di puntarelle, and it was all excellent. They did not have an English menu so it was a bit of an adventure, but the waiters are very attentive and friendly. They specialize in olive oils from different regions and you can purchase them there as well. I also loved that they brought little "taste treats" before the meal - delicious! Extensive olive oil and wine menu! We will certainly go there again next year!

This restaurant is the best I have been to in a very long time. I had the steak cooked to 67 degrees, and it was tender and served exquisitely. Service by Giorgio and preparation by Enrico were excellent. We were advised to have a specific wine which was the perfect accompaniment to our meals. We were given some tidbits to taste which were a pleasant surprise. You canât miss by eating here!

Really looked forward to dinner here based on write ups. We didnât get what the reviews suggested. Ordered sparking water as usual, got the water - the sparkle had gone. Maybe a hint of gas in the water, but would need scientific evidence. Ordered wine, the wine cork split - normally that would mean either a new bottle or at least decant it. Nup - we drank wine and cork pieces. Not great. I ordered pig cheek and pasta dish, got the pasta in spades, again, would need a DNA test for the pig part of it. My wife had mushroom and squid in a pasta - could have come out of a can.Overall very disappointed. I hate writing bad reviews when everyone else has had a great night out, so maybe it was just an off night. Iâll never know, we wonât do it again.Thank you Chrisk I m sorry you doesnât enjoy your meal at ToccoFerro I hope to see you again Give us another chance

We had a lovely meal here recently. They have a mixture of genuine and unique Italian dishes along with the tried and true favorites, such as meatballs. All tasted home made. Service was impeccable. Prices extremely reasonable. I will go again before I leave.

Fish Restaurant. Dishes from Roman cuisine revisited with typical Sicilian products. Dishes from Roman cuisine tradition.
We dined here two nights ago and had fabulous food and service. The grilled octopus was the best Iâve ever had. We ate outside in the upstairs patio. We recommended the place to some acquaintances last night and they enjoyed it immensely. We just finished dinner there again and weâre not disappointed.
