Good location very near the main canal. The decor is very average and so is the food. The presentation is nothing special and so is the taste. Big portions ,a bit tasteless.Price : moderate

If you don't know what to choose, the waiter shows you the fish. Taste is excellent. Positive surprise when receiving the bill. A must go in Aveiro.

I have booked this place through Facebook messages for my Mothers Birthday. It was confirmed and nice table promised. When we arrived we were unpleasantly greeted by a girl and told her we have a booking which she seemed not to care about. She gave us a table in the middle and when I asked for the one next to the window she told me its reserved! Hello! I did reserve as well! She just said sorry. Later I noticed that local couple was seated by a window. I was at the point I wanted to leave but did not want to ruin my mothers birthday so we stayed. Food was good, great location but improvement of staff needed! And It is coming from hospitality manager. Disappointing experienceHello, Rasyma88Thank you so much for your feedback. We're sorry that your visit doesn't went as you wished, but we're glad that you enjoyed the food. We're hoping that you could give us another opportunity soon and get your full experience on your table by the window. Hope to see you soon. Thank you, Bronze

Beyond Averio on the beach front called Costa Nova you will find 2 large parades, left & right. Within the parades there are a variety of villas, apartments, shops, bars & restaurants. You can face back towards Averio or on the other side of this peninsula, out to sea, neither have disappointing views. As you approach Costa Nova, O Cais is one of the larger restaurantâs looking back towards Averio. The menu is very comprehensive covering fish, meat & pizza dishes, with an amply large range of starters & desserts. There is a large range of wines to cover most palettes and budgets, as well as beers & soft drinks. This is a spectacularly beautiful part of Northern Portugal and one I thoroughly recommend if you are in the Porto region.

we came back here after been here a few years ago and it remains a place to remember. We ate very fresh ameijoas and squid. For the children we had the veggie pasta, with loads of vegetables. One of the waiters speaks fluent French. One more important detail, the waiters are really children friendlyThank you for the great review!! I hope that you came Back!!!

The wait staff were great, spoke English and service was very professionalI went on a Sunday early afternoon it was actually March 10, 2019 with my wifeThe large prawn tasted like an old shoe, was totally destroyed tasted and horribleMy steak was ok but my wife's steak was very chewy.salad was basic like i make at home,it was nothing special and was expensive for what we had, would rather go to other places near by, that have similar food but half the price and professionally cooked, not like DORIRestaurant was very busy and we waited for 15 minutes or so,it's ok,that is not an issueJust the food was basic,i can cook better at home and was too expensive and over cooked and not professionalWill not go back again,it's a waste of money and a disappointment, would have been better cooking at home and having a pick nick for 2.for almost 60 euros for an entry of octopus,2 main course, 2 colas and a water and a pudding - Pudim do Abade de Priscos - a Portuguese traditional dessert. The octopus salad was ok, and the pudding was brilliant. Give it a 7 out of 10 and 10 out of 19 for the pudding.

Unpretentious place, very simple but... amazing fish and sea food. Very down to earth owner and staff, really helping you with the choices and recommendations. Good wines available. Family atmosphere, as if I went to my mom's place. Try the fish soup and then any of the fish stews. Or anything really. Went there twice in 2 days I spent in the area...

It is in the pleasant and picturesque Costa Nova, near Ria de Aveiro estuary, that this cozy restaurant has served, since the 90's, the best flavors of the Portuguese coast. It has every day the best and most diversified fresh fish but also delicious meat
Portuguése friends took us here and it was great. Prawns, mussels, sardines, wine bread, cheese and olives, a great little spread and reasonable. First rate, everything nice, exterior doesnât give it credit.

Restaurant is owned by Americans but the food is local. Amazing portions. Fantastic fish and pasta. The bread and local wine are to die for. It is off the beaten path but well worth the journey.
