Had heard a lot of good things about this place so we decided to give it a go. Itâs a small place, smells of damp and we were shoved on a table at the back on the most uncomfortable benches which were half a foot higher than the chairs on the other side of the table. It was comical. Ordered the seafood combo (£25) and Iâm pretty sure I could have got the same from Iceland and heated it in the oven. Breaded squid (soggy), three prawns and a couple of tiny scallops (they werenât King as described on the menu). Kiev mac and cheese was greasy and flavourless and the coleslaw was just as drab. It wasnât awful food, but for £25 you expect a lot more for your money. I also tried a homemade âlime and basil ginâ and it tasted of soapy dishwater. Wonât be coming back which is a shame.

Music was just too loud when youâre out for a meal - gave up trying to have a conversation.Staff were very nice but lovely waitress clearly not experienced - did not asked if we wanted to taste the wine, poured half the bottle into the glasses, then screwed the top back on the red wine (rather than leaving it to breathe...). Food disappointing - âcatch of the dayâ platter I fear was caught at Iceland rather than the North Sea. Scampi, I suspect frozen, packet......, calamari (or more likely fish âOâ rings) remaining dishes debatable. Shame, as other peopleâs meat dishes looked quite nice.Topped off with cold espresso (forgotten to warm the coffee machine up), and then presented with an incorrect bill (more expensive). These issues were sorted out.Sadly disappointed on first visit.

Very good quality, reasonable price, lots of choice. Fish bites very good choice for the kids. Service could be a little more welcoming however fish chips make up for it.
