We enjoyed the Sunday buffet - typical but good and fresh country choices. I thoroughly enjoyed the fried fish and hushpuppies. Worth the ride south from Thomson.
We went there as a group of 6 and was not the impressed for what we spent. there was a large party that caused us delay in getting our food and it was not all that hot in temperature.
Passing through and stopped for a quick lunch. The physical appearance of the restaurant itself is not at all inviting and is frankly a bit dated ... so much so that my wife hesitated at the door and asked "are you sure?"As it does in so many establishments, the staff will make or break it. The staff here was excellent. All were very friendly and outgoing making sure we enjoyed our visit. As a matter of fact, the couple in front of us changed their order and drinks multiple times. The young lady behind the counter as agitated (as she should be), but continued to smile and never lost a beat. My wife told her later she did good and that if she was behind the counter, she probably would have gotten fired over that one.The food was good ... love their fish and the little crispies are great. As we were traveling, we both checked out the bathrooms ... again, a bit dated, but clean.
