Well,Sagara can boast for a wide array of mouthwatering fish dishes that are comparatively affordable than other fish restaurants.We happened to arrive here and tried out chappathi with konju kizhi .It is a dish of flavoursome prawns in a small package.It was amazing and we ordered two other seafood delicacies,Kalum mamaya and Mulak ittathu.The Chilly fish was so Chilly that we ended up gulping glasses of water to tone down the heat.We would have preferred less amount of heat in the curries.Apart from that,Sagara is a novel experience with seafood.

In the muslim area of chalay bazar this rest offers a multi variety of fish and vegetables talhi served on banana leaves. Portions are all u can eat. Food is very skillfully made tasted and fresh. Very crowed at noon. Rest itself is quite indian style. Now has been done up and st least it resembles cleaner than years ago. Prices are very comvenients. I must try it!

Had lunch from Ram's Kitchen Poomaram Restaurant and the meals was good with quality rice, tasty side dishes and tasty Fish curry. My friend had bamboo chicken biriyani which was also good. The restaurant is conveniently located, maintained well and the service was also good. Nice restaurant to dine with family or friends.

This is one of the 6 restaurants in Uday samudra Resort. The food served is good in taste. The service provided is also goood and up to the mark. The food tastes verry well not like the breakfast served in the resort. Overall good place to have dinner.

Chicken grill platter was the best I had recently. Quantity was more than expected, but all enjoyed it every bite and variety. Nadan curry as well as North Indian cuisines equally yummy. Ambience is good, each table has privacy not common in city restaurants. Since inside residential area, its a quiet place. Parking for 4-5 cars and hence recommend weeks days if you can. Friendly staff, I recommend this place.

Great place to have tasty and quality food and snacks during the backwaters boat journey through the Neyyar. You can hire a boat from Poovar, then travel through the mangroves for reaching here. You can see Golden Sand Beach, Elephant Rock etc from here. Stopped over here for lunch while on the Poovar backwaters cruise, and it turned to be the best meal of our Kovalam trip so far. Though they have an expansive menu of Indian and Chinese dishes, we stuck to core Kerala dishes - Karimeen Pollichathu, Crab Masala, Prawns Curry - and each of them were divine. The fact that you can order ahead while on the cruise ensures that the food is ready by the time you reach. The toilet is clean, and the staff efficient. The food is expensive though, but worth the quality and the ambience.

The place have some good views and great food. Catamaran restraunt is amazing and their service is more than prefect all are very decent and kind. Sinto, Jibin, Jiju and Italy are always their to serve you better. Specially Sinto have a great understanding with menu and everything. 'Steampot' at Pottakuzhi. Pattom, disappointed us, big time. We, three adults, went there at around 2pm hungry as hell hoping to wolf down a sumptuous lunch as advertised. The toilet was very restrictive and extremely narrow, very difficult for a couple to maneuver. A notice pasted above the toilet reminds them to shut the door always. Moving on to the dining area we ordered 'pothi choru' (typical kerala meals wrapped in banana leaf) 'Ayila Polichathu' and a Beef Pepper fry. I must confess that I was thoroughly dissatisfied. The 'pothichoru' never had the flavor of the banana leaf infused in it. To get the 'flavor' the meals have to be packed hot and let to rest awhile. Obviously that did not happen, probably sold out earlier. The meals looked and tasted like the typical meals served on a banana leaf. The 'Ayila Polichathu' was not very convincing either as the fish was not fresh. As for the Beef, the less said about it the better. The meat was hard and not full cooked to my liking. What's more, my taste buds didn't register any pepper on the meat. Visited this place on locals recommendation and did not regret at all!!!The whole menu seemed interesting and I wanted to try everything on the menu but unfortunately the small stomach could not support. I tried King fish spicy, also I tried some local style fish apparently one of the popular dish from here thatâs what the person who took my order said. The fish was wrapped in banana leaf and steamed or something. But I love spice hence I enjoyed the spicy fry king fish. The green fish was kind of sweet.Beef was Amazing too!!To finish the dinner, custard caramel is mind blowing. Pastries are just ok but caramel is to die for.The staff who attended me was from Kolkata who helped in deciding the best to order. He was very helpful and nice.I highly recommend this place for the fantastic ambiance, scrumptious food and great service.

There are mutable outlets of Thakkaaram in the city, I visit the one near Kazhakootam often. The service is prompt, servers are pleasant. The food served is fresh and tasty. I love their charcoal grilled chicken. Have tasted many dishes on the menu and could not find faults in any.
