First time, recommendation by friend. Small restaurant, staff good. Tried the bacon wrapped fried shrimp poor boy and cup of chicken and sausage gumbo. Very tasty and reasonably priced.

This place is a Chackbay legend. No thrills served with local cajun food. It is not near the big metropolis of Thibodaux so is often overlooked by most people. But the locals know it and frequent it regularly. So when you are visiting Thibodaux, take the 8-minute drive to Boudreaux's. You can thank me later.

Ordered the Seafood special and 2 other seafood dishes. There were only 2 tables at the time so the food came out pretty quick, however, the dishes were a little on the cool side. Pasta sauce was very minimal so we had to order extra sauce to make it more palatable. They messed up on our appetizer order as well. The kitchen duplicated the order from the other table. The food tasted pretty good and the portions were large. Service was good but it may be different with a large crowd.

I had the hamburger steak which was not very good, very little onions or gravy. They where out of Lima beans at 12:30. Tells me you didn't cook enough to start with. So I had the red beans, they had very little seasoning or sausage in them. Then for my other side I tried the Coleslaw, which was just ok. The other thing about Politz's I don't like, turn up the damn lights. It's dark as hell in there. Dark floors, brown tables and dem light. Two tables near me said it was to dark to see the menu.

Passing through the area and stopped at Bubbaâs II based on recommendation of local business. Was surprised with the eclectic collection upon opening the front door, was even more amazed the more I looked around. Who would have expected to find an extensive N.Y. Yankees collection! Since we stopped before the normal lunch crowd the owner took time to tell me stories about his ties with the Yankees. Ask if you have the opportunity! And by the way, food was very good also.

We had dinner at this inviting restaurant. Our waitress was vocal on her preferences when we asked. Service was excellent. The Spinach salad is excellent and the dressing decadent. However... onion rings while whole lacked taste. Both burgers we got were just missing the mark. They were on the ok of good. There were a lot of things on the menu that looked good. I will try this place once more before writing it off

I am a local and this is one of my favorite places. If you are traveling and are looking for authentic Poboys or Cajun food look no further. The casual, laid back atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable. If you are a New York Yankees fan you are in for a special treat!

This restaurant was recommended and glad we went. My husband had the popcorn poboy and simply loved it. Where it gets strange, I had the chicken. It is served with brocoli or salad. I chose the salad. What was weird, near the end of my salad the chicken arrived, two pieces of a grilled chicken breast and a wedge of lemon on a plate. My chicken looked lonely on that big plate. I would have liked everything together. It was kind of weird eating only chicken and nothing else. It was excellent taste wise but presentation wise it was way off. I would still recommend the restaurant. Service was excellent. Thank you Racinee for your feedback. We will pass it on.

It is quite expensive, but it is excellent. Huge choice of delicious martini's (almond joy was great!). For starters we had a cup of gumbo each which was delicious, and shared a portion of oysters which were lovely. For main course, my husband had the blackened red fish which he loved, and I had the stuffed flounder which was fantastic. I had wondered whether to order a side of brocolli with it, but didn't, and found it came with mixed veg so was glad I hadn't. The wine we asked for wasn't available, but the waiter suggested an alternative, and brought some out for us to taste. It was very nice, so we were happy to have that instead. Lovely atmosphere of a proper restaurant where you could enjoy a whole evening.
