I ate there with a couple of friends when it has just opened. The terrace has a fantastic view over the Maremma coutry side and Elba. Food is excellent and you can see they are using local and fresh products. I have to share an extremely unpleasant experience we had last night at this restaurant. We reserved a table for 2 by phone for 9:30 PM. When we finally found the place, which is situated outside the town inside some kind of holiday village, the lady in charge ( the same one, who took our reservation) told us, that there is no possibility to serve us, because the previous guests did not finish there meal at time and there was no a free table for us. When we were just about to leave, she suddenly saw a free and ready table for two with a sigh '' reserved ''. So, she said, that she was sorry and we can seat here - this table was prepared for us. But there is no happy end in this story. After about 10 minutes of waiting for a waitress, the same lady came back to inform us, that a chef assistant was not ready to stay late and left his chef alone, so they were not able to serve us and we just had to leave. I have to mention, that it was Saturday night and most of restaurants in town were reserved in advance. There was almost impossible to find another place at this late hour. When I told this to lady in charge, she just kept telling she was sorry. So we finally left this ugly place even without having a glass of water. I travel quite a lot around the world both for pleasure and business, but never ever got this kind of service. SO, PLEASE, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!!Caro Sig. Leonid,Sono come ripetutamente detto anche presso il nostro ristorante dispiaciuta per quanto accaduto.Ma come già a lei spiegato il giorno della sua prenotazione non abbiamo purtroppo potuto accontentarla in quanto il nostro aiuto chef aveva avuto un malore e la cucina portava dei ritardi nella preparazione dei piatti già prenotati.Avremmo dovuto farla attendere a lungo e ciò non mi sembrava il caso visto l'orario della sua prenotazione 21.30. Mi dispiace di questo suo sfogo che lei ha pubblicato su tripadvisor ma come le ripeto non abbiamo nessuna colpa di quanto accaduto, gli imprevisti possono capitare anche nei i migliori ristoranti.Cordiali saluti

Sono stato da Manuela molte volte. Spesso per colazione sfruttando i buonissimi tramezzini e focacce farcite offerte nel reparto salato o gli occhi di bue al cioccolato nel reparto dolce.Manuela inoltre offre un servizio di edicola in cui è possibile trovare una buona dose di giornali, fumetti ect. A pranzo è spesso meta di tutti quei lavoratori che sono troppo stanchi per tornare a casa e quindi optano per un pasto in un luogo familiare come può essere questo.La sera Manuela si tinge di vita con il giro-pizza, la musica dal vivo e il servizio di ristorante/pizzeria.Per molti aspetti il locale si meriterebbe 5 stelle, ma purtroppo sussistono dei problemi che ne riducono la valutazione.La stessa musica talvolta è fastidiosa per chi mangia, problema che può essere risolto mangiando nella sala interna. Inoltre il pizzaiolo è cambiato a più riprese e il locale è passato attraverso fasi di pizza favolosa e pizza bagnata dagli ingredienti e bruciata. Sinceramente non so in che fase si trovi al momento, però questo andamento altilenante ne penalizza un'altrimenti ottima valutazione.Nel complesso rimane un ottimo posto dove fermarsi se si è di strada, con un grande parcheggio e affiancato al distributore, il che non fa mai male.

A really nice restaurant located in the middle of the city but still away from the tourist traps. Dining on the restaurant's balcony is really cozy with a fantastic view over this medieval city. A must try.The food was also very nice with good selection of local Italian dishes and a good variety of wines. Definitely worth a visit.

We had an enjoyable evening at this little pizzeria. There was only one person waiting tables, but he was a bundle of energy and very friendly with it. We had 4 children with us, but he was patient and very helpful. The food is average, but the staff and atmosphere deserve a igher rating than the 3 star food. We would return.

Al Rifugio is a restaurant in Prata di Suvereto, a wild area close by the hills and the sea of Baratti Populonia. Here you can take a sweet and pacefull rest with a sandwich or for lunch and dinner with aour special dish of pasta homemade, fish or meat.
This establishment is managed by Tony and his wonderful Mother. It gives a homely welcome and offers honest and delicious meals. We patronized for lunch on a wet afternoon and were extremely surprised by the lack of guests (which we feel itâs a real shame)Tony provided us with a detailed explanation of whatâs on offer for the day, provided some recommendations and we just went with the flow... Absolutely FantasticWe had a wonderful meal and shared lovely conversations with Tony and his Mother. The bill is extremely reasonable If you are near Suvereto, this is a must visit place for an authentic and fantastic home cooked meal

Can I start with a wow???? Well, I have to because when I saw my appetizer my husband and I were tuned as in a choir with our wows ! The dish was composed of four rolled pieces of white fish stuffed with leeks, and topped with a thin slice of tartufo. It was served in a sauce as gold as a sunset made with saffron. The flavors where revealed in such a way that I was just in a cloud! My second dish was their homemade paste with shrimp, little cubes of potatoes in a white sauce. It was really delicious. My husband ordered their homemade raviolis with a white ragu sauce, very delicate. Now I am not too keen on the boar meat because it is always made too strong. However, here the boar was really delicate and I loved it. Then dessert... Well I guess you need to go there and experience it all! I love the atmosphere ! I also loved everyone that worked there! Really wonderful people! We complimented the chef and his wife for this wonderful sensorial experience!

This winery has a restaurant as well as accommodation. Been owned by the family since 1953, they have 25 hectares of vineyard. Make two white wines and a rose, a super Tuscan blend, straight Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The latter is the best of the lot. The wines are well priced, and tasting does not cost anything. Service was informative and pleasant. We have dined at this amazing restaurant on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. Marco is a brilliant chef, committed to providing his diners with the ultimate dining experience. He only serves fresh fish, prepared in healthy, creative presentations. This is truly our favorite restaurant in Tuscany.
