We weren't very hungry, so decided to share a sandwich. Many places on the water in Santa Barbara were more upscale than we wanted, and we found Shoreline Cafe. Even on a cold, windy evening it offered a wonderful out in the open view of the ocean behind "windshields" and heaters. We shared a ham and swiss sandwich with fries (you don't have to get seafood or tacos!). It was a good size with plenty of juicy meat. They even brought each half of the sandwich and fries on its own plate at no extra charge. Server Madi was attentive but not intrusive and kept my husband's Diet Pepsi glass full.

Serving the Santa Barbara area for 15+ years, with an award winning wine list, extensive menu, daily happy hour 4-6pm and amazing dinner specials served Sunday - Thursday there's something for everyone at Holdrens!
I had 2 really good meals here, but I still can't figure out why steak is soo expensive across California. Everything is expensive but steak & wine (from a wine producing state!) is off the scale cost wise.Still, it was a good steak tho'

Booked a table as thought restaurant would be very busy, glad we had a reservation. Delicious fish and good choice of beer.

We swung by en route from LA to San Luis Obispo and discovered a genuine seafood restaurant. We opted for the fish combo and were delighted with the delicacy of the batter and the care taken in the frying. Weâve had too many over-fried seafood dishes to count but this chef has the skill. The calamari was the best Iâve tasted and as my favourite seafood, Iâve eaten a lot.One other thing, ahead of me in the restroom was a member of the kitchen staff. I was so impressed to see that guy wash and scrub his hands, wrists and arms so thoroughly. Over the years Iâve witnessed the opposite, so full marks on hygiene, too.

Found this place because of all the great reviews, and a friendly bartender down the street highly recommended it so we made an early reservation and went. Service was incredible (thanks Juan!) as was the food and wine selection. This is definitely one of those places you would love to keep secret just because it is so good. But, if you are in SB and looking for a wonderful dining experience make a reservation and enjoy! They've got an awesome little bar towards the back to grab a drink at, or eat if it's too busy.

This restaurant is located in the Coral Casino Beach & Cabana Club, a private membership club, situated atop Butterfly Beach at Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara. The most recent menu had 3 choices for a stater, 4 choices plus a vegetarian option for the main course and 2 dessert choices. I was with 13 others and everyone was pleased with their selections. Our wait staff personnel were efficient and accommodating. The view and sound of the surf when seated outside provides an incredible ambience. Inside is special too with a large bar with an aquarian wrapped around it. The decor is thoughtfully well done. This is a classy place.
