Reviews on Seafood food in St. Moritz, Swiss Alps, Switzerland. Although originally known as a summer destination, when the first snowflakes land in St. Moritz, so do the international scenesters, bundled up in the latest "Must Have" accessories. During winter, catch a ride on the Glacier Express from Zermatt to arrive in style. Cable cars ascend to three nearby mountaintops. Hundreds of miles of ski trails and a frozen lake comprise the area's most popular sports venues. Follow the Romans example and try one of the city's mineral springs, such as St. Moritz Bader.

In St Moritz Bad the vast majority of restaurants are linked with hotels and so to find an 'independent' restaurant took a little work. The ambiance of the place is quite strange as to the left as you enter the door is a public bar, with TV and raucous atmosphere. To the right is the main restaurant and bu good interior design the noise does not infiltrate.During the day, there are also tables outside and the menu is actually very reasonably priced and the food on offer is good fayre for a lunch. The evening menu is a little more substantial and the prices do reflect this. My wifes Petto di pollo (chicken pasta) was CHF 24 and my Ribeye Steak was CHF 39. Add a couple of soft drinks and a shared apfelstrudel and our bill came to CHF 88.50.Bit steeper than expected but it was a good night - the food was well prepared and plentiful (although my fries were very similar to those you get at McDonanlds) and for the price I would have preferred hand cut or proper chips as they did tend to ping off the plate when stabbed. The place is very dimly lit and reading the menu was quite a challenge although it did make the mood romantic and the wood carvings which decorate the place are rather interesting. It wasn't too busy on the night and the waiter service was efficient and unobtrusive and so that worked well. The prices paid were in keeping with the rest of the town and so all in all I would recommend this place for a nice quiet romantic meal.

Located in the middle of the lake this place is fully isolated and expose traditional environment however the food is modern and oriented on the product, simply the best!Unusual quality of seafood at almost 2000m and excellent seasonal wild meat. A must!Just behind the place, a small walking way bring you to incredible view over the lake in 20min.
