Reviews on Seafood food in Springfield, Illinois, United States. The spirit of the "Land of Lincoln" is nowhere else so alive as it is in Springfield, one time home to old Honest Abe himself and present home of the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, the Lincoln-Herndon Law Offices State Historic Site, the Old State Capitol State Historic Site, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and the Lincoln Tomb State Historic Site. When we want something a little upscale and cozy we visit Fritz's which is a located close to home.Their menu selections are great as well as their homemade salad dressings. Last Thursday night I had the prime rib, mashed potatoes and house salad with mustard dressing.. all delicious. My husband had the full rack a ribs ... which we both think are the some of the best in town... we had enough left over for several lite meals.

We took our grandchildren to Springfield for Fall Break. I saw great reviews for Carter's Fish Market. We picked up (it is only carry out or small table outside) and went to Washington Park to eat. One order of fish will serve 3 people. The sides are huge. We had so much food. All very good. Corn fritters were a big hit. Very fast service.

If you like fried food, this is the place for you. I figured I go for a healthier option and ordered a Caesar salad. Ugh, it was drenched in dressing, way too heavy. Service was excellent, we really liked our hard-working waitress Mindy S. Reasonable prices. This was my first time eating at a RL â commercials make it look so good â it will be my last.Hi, Ellen.
