The staff was very attentive and pleasant. Food was nicely presented. Good value for big eaters. Located in the main road of La Virgen, Providence of Heredia, Sarapiqui is not hard to find. Their fried chicken is very good, fresh and flavorful. Nothing fancy but clean. They do serve many other choices than chicken.

The staff was attentive and pleasant. At first, not sure what to expect. The food was nicely presented, the place was nothing fancy but clean. At the end, the food was very good, maybe a bit pricy. Located next to the main road (HWY 4) and no AC, at times the trucks can be a bit noisy.

We went to La Virgen for some rain forest hiking. When we asked for a seafood restaurant we were skeptical when we were advised that yes, there was a very good one. Well when we visitied, it ended up being better than "very good". Chef Carlos created an exceptional lobster plate. I believe that he said there were 12 "secret spices", but don't hold me to that as I'd enjoyed quite a bit of wine by that conversation.The chef and his son joined us at the table and made us feel like family. If you ever get even near to this area - make the trip. The menu is limited to a handful of items that are prepared exceptionaly well.The interior furniture is created from large slabs of nonsymetrical tree trunks, adding to the exotic ambiance.Buen Provecho! I found this place randomly when driving and was surprised how good it was! Excellent presentation and taste was amazing. I ordered the grilled fish (corvino) in a mushroom sauce with salad and they made a homemade dressing for the salad. (look at that salad! there was even starfruit on the side!) they also had fresh juices-- the guanaba was delicious!
