This place specializes in ikura, and lots of it. The house rule is that in exchange for their generous servings, you finish it all, including the rice it comes on. Food was good and reasonably priced. Unless you're going very early or very late, make sure you have reservations -- the place is small, and gets very full.

Food here is excellent - sashimi and sushi comes in so many different varieties. The crab and fish soup were so tasty we couldnt get enough of it. The price is reasonable compared to other restaurants we have eaten in Sapporo. We came back twice because it was so good and value for money

First restaurant serving crab cuisine for over 50 years in Japan. Customers favor KANI-HONKE for its dainty, authentic crab cuisine in any season. Enjoy these special tastes of Japan: Fresh crab meat sashimi and "Kani Sushi" only at KANI-HONKE! Enjoy "Bak
Have been craving for freshest Hokkaido crab and finally booked two nightsâ dinner at this restaurant via online reservation.First night, they seated us on 2nd floor in a tatami room. However we requested to change to another room that we can drop our feet under the table. A Chinese female took our order and Japanese lady served. Perhaps they saw we are Chinese, the attitude of Japanese lady was indifferent and donât care much. Anyway couldnât care less about that we enjoyed the crabs.Another night , we were seated on ground floor in a private room with chairs. A Chinese male came in to take order and Japanese lady served. This Japâs attitude was even worse than the one two nights ago. Absolutely cold and indifferent. Whatâs going on ?! So, Japan is now plagued by mainland China tourists and they treat you the same (with bias or discrimination) as long as they see youâre Chinese ? But Japan is now dependent on tourism too, isnât it? Actually, Sapporo has the worst attitude in airport custom at arrival - they searched you and paddex you down from head to toe , so insulting.,,a big shame on Sapporo !!!!

I was staying at Guest house Waya and this restaurant was nearby. When we entered, we have to take number for table. There is a lot of people either for lunch or dinner. This restaurant is open from 11am until night. First time we waited for 45 minutes for our table. The sushi is priced from ï¿¥120yen to ï¿¥530yen (exclude 8% tax). The sushi and sashimi are very fresh and big portion! We went for twice. We waited 40minutes for second visit. Worth for waiting, no regret!

Keeping it simple: the food was fantastic. We already knew we wanted to try the UNI and IKURA DON, nevertheless it took us a while to choose which combination and to look at all the other attractive options. The 'DON was tasty yet delicate, a pleasure, as were the sashimi we took on the side.A little expensive, it's true, but more for the portions which are smaller than I expected, i would dare to say good value for the quality of the food and a normal price for a good restaurant.Add that we went with our 2 young children and despite the place not really being a family restaurant the staff was very nice and set us up nicely in a small cabinf for ourselves.Going back if I have the chance!

Super fun ambience, delicious fresh sushi and so reasonably priced. So long as you have a plan as to how you will spend the inevitable waiting time (shopping, going for a beer, sleeping in the queue...) you will not be disappointed. We went twice in two days.

Great restaurant for sushi lovers! They have an English menu, and some of the staff can speak a little English as well. Easy to find from the station (10 minute walk). Crab paste sushi was delicious, and so was everything else we ordered. Our first conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Hokkaido. Very satisifying experience! Oishi!!

Hokkaido is famous for their seafoods, especially crabs, and this is one of the best Crab Restaurants in Sapporo!! It's great to have a course of King Crabs, Snow Crabs, and Hairy Crabs. These crabs are served in many ways, such as sashimi, grilled, hot pod, tempura, boiled, shabu shabu, and porridge. It is pricey but worthy since the qualities are excellent. Come here if you are in Sapporo!!

Super good oyster with affordable price. Order 10pcs oyster with 150yen each and they give us 5pcs extra for free! Yes we know from online review they used to put in free oyster with every purchase but with 5pcs free is very generous of them! Oysters are big and fresh, no any issue of stomachache the next day. Please note they had already moved from the old location and itâs a little tricky to find the new location.
