All of the restaurants in the area operate the same way. They will take you to the live seafood market to choose what you want to eat. You can bargain with the prices a little bit but overall the restaurant employees try to get you a fair deal. If saving $10 US dollars makes for a better meal then go for it. Then you go back to the restaurant to select the vegetables you want and they will charge you very reasonable prices for the labor of cleaning and cooking all of the food. Excellent dishes! My favorite is the fried pepper salt mantis prawns!

I was there yesterday evening with my wife.I found a restaurant much better than what I could expect. Very romantic, very close to the sea, clean and with high quality and polite service. Food was like in all Mandarin Oriental where I have been.... simplyAmazing!!!So really happy to have been there and for sure next time in Sanya I will also join your hotel!
Reminiscent of a fine old bleached wood boathouse, Driftwood is open to the ocean, capturing the gentle breeze and adding it to a menu of fresh, succulent seafood and superb meats, all meticulously prepared and served. Dine indoors or outside under an umb
Ok: I am going to be short & sweet because I am writing this review only to warn other people. If you are a foodie DON'T go there. We went at this St. Regis restaurant, guests of a friend who was taking his holidays there. What can I say?1) Almost none (well, only one as it happens) of the waiters spoke English (yes, believe me, and this should be the St. Regis). 2) Waited a long time, then brought all the dishes together, even if we specifically say we didnât want them to be served together3) One of the dishes was pasta with tomato sauce and fish. Now, what arrived was completely another dish. Still pasta but with loads of cream and some other amenity. No dish listed on the menu (and that we ordered) anywhere to be seen. We pointed out this was not the plate we ordered. The answer was that the tomato sauce and the fish was finished so the chef decided to make another dish!!!!! I mean: can you believe it? This should be the St. Regis (again). Why they didnât come before, saying that the fish/sauce was finished? The chef must have though that, as almost all the clients were Chinese, they wouldnât have know the difference. Bad luckâ¦we are Europeans! 4) The pasta (not just the one mentioned above) was overcooked and tasteless.I can definitely say this has been the worst dining episode in my entire high-end hotel experiences. If I could, I would put zero dots but cannot.

Forget atmosphere, decor and table setting, this is local experience and comes full on. The food was delicious and the staff was as helpful as can be given the language limitations. I particularly enjoyed the wooden clothes pins used as food markers; difficult to explain but you will understand if you go. Sea urchins were a unique personal moment; given that I once stepped into a bed of them. Eating one was much easier than extraction. would recommend for lunch; the lighting was harsh at night.
Flavours of the South Pacific Savour island-style cooking and contemporary Hawaiian cuisine at this restaurant. Enjoy a selection of exotic cocktails made with fresh fruit and rum served in decorative Tiki mugs. Every Friday, the theatrics are in full swi

Sanya tourism, how can not eat seafood, friends recommended to us Linjie Xiangwei Seafood Restaurant, the environment is general, the environment is this big gear, for the family with children, or need to improve, but the taste is really first-class seafood. The waiter first took the seafood we chose first in the first market. According to our preference, we chose the seafood we like, shrimp, crab, shellfish, grouper and so on. We chose a lot of them. They were very professional and happy.

Your escape to Italy is here, in the tropical island of Hainan, Cucina is the place where you will have the authentic Italian Experience, Owner Daniele Vacca hails from Sardinia, an Italian Island in the middle of Mediterranean Sea, His home, with its ric
Amazing restaurant, the boss, the Italian chef Daniele was really professional and friendly. We started eating some bruschetta as appetizers followed by calamarelle with special handmade sauce. Everything was prepared with harmony and passion , but the most delicious meal was the first dish âRisotto allâaragosta con agrumiâ. I really thing that Iâve never eaten something like this! As for the second dish we chose branzino al cartoccio in which all the ingredients were balanced in respect of the Italian tradition. Last but not least, Special dessert,âTIRAMISUâ. Also in this case coffee and cheese were balanced in a special way. So, if you wanna try something special , you need to come here, the staff is perfect , so friendly , Daniele and his wife Tessa, gave us a special dinner and so many advices for visiting Sanya as local. Great job. Amazing 10/10 . Giuseppe e Federica Dear Giuseppe e Federica,First of all Thank you very much for the amazing review,Point number One is when the review is been done by Italians,As we are very fare away from our homeland and find an authentic Italian Restaurant is not easy,But here in Cucina everyday we working hard to be sure the best products imported from Italy arrive in your table, Your beautiful review will be an example for lots of people looking for an Italian gourmet journey in Sanya,Looking forward to see you again,Grazie e arrivederci,Daniele e Tessa
Specialties from Southeast Asia.S.E.A. showcases the best of South-East Asian cuisine and live seafood. The restaurantâs highlights include Thai salads, curries, stir-fried noodles, and chilli crab.
Since staying in the Shangri-La Hotel, it was very easy for me to have a dinner just downstairs at S.E.A.First time I came rather late, just before closing there Buffet (only offered on Tuesdays). But they were able to fulfill my wishes within fifteen minutes, so I could enjoy a nice dinner that evening.Second time I came for a la carte dining, and selected some superb fish and other things.(The only I didn't like was their "Som Tam", which was too much accommodated to their many Chinese guests and not original.)To repeat: a fish catch from the day, was outstanding. - As was the service from their staff!

Seafood grill Beach Barbacoa is inspired by the Jimbaran Bay in Bali. With sand underfoot and an eclectic mix of furniture, itâs a lively and fun spot for all ages. Dine in barefoot luxury under starry skies. Take in the enchanting views as the sun sets i
To me, this is a seasonal restaurant (because this place may not be available when weather is not pleasant enough). Most of the tables are outdoor and on sand, overlooking a live band with performance from 6pm onwards. This outlet definitely brings you an unique experience. Check out the weather forecast and book a table there in advance. What makes Barbacoa exceptional is the team!! Letâs start from their head chef - Made! He is in the kitchen all the time to ensure the quality. By the end of the meal, Chef Made will also come out to greet guest, as much table as possible, checking satisfaction in person, wanting to know more guest comment. Besides that, our table got served by Maranda, Catherine, and SS. These few young ladies and man are so attentive, they always carry smile on their face and happy to assist with all kinds of enquires. We also met Teana, the Manager there, she gave us good recommendations on selections. And did not oversell us on food. This humble and sincere service made us feel trust and well taken care. We will definitely come back to dine in this beautiful restaurant again!
Xian Hai By The Sea Cantonese restaurant presents fine Chinese cuisine in its purest forma, guests can dine on a series of illuminated floating platforms. The custom designed spaces, with teak interior and rich upholstery are covered with a shaded canopy
Date of dinner: February 5, 2019Food & beverage: XianHai is one of the best Cantonese - Chinese restaurants where Iâve ever eaten. The vegetarian starters and vegetables tasted very fresh and aromatic. Especially the four-cornered beans, a Hainanese specialty, were a completely new flavor experience: somewhere between bean, mushroom, bamboo and nut... The tiger grouper fish was served in a warm and light soy sauce and its flesh was juicy and soft and a perfect match with the Hainanese green beans. The beef ribs were yummy, well cooked and tender like pulled beef. I wish the portion would have been bigger... :)Service: Our dinner took place on an exclusive and beautifully decorated float in the sea water lagoon of the EDITION hotel, a one minute private boat ride from the restaurant. The captain and the waiter were both very welcoming and and polite. Already on the very short boat ride we were offered traditional Chinese Pu Er tea and chilled fruits as refreshments. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly throughout the dinner and also tried to stay in the background to give us the best possible privacy on the float which measures approximately 20 square meters and can host up to 6 people for dinner. Location: BEAUTIFUL. A truly unique place for romantic dinners or small family gatherings. The view of the lights from the surrounding hotel facilities at night and the sea breeze are mesmerizing. Would I eat there again? - Yes, absolutely.
