The ambience at this restaurant was great and the service was excellent. The food was delicious we had the BBQ ribs, the Black sea bass and the lemon honey chicken for appetizers and we were extremely satisfied with our meals. This is by far my favorite meal in Guatemala. I highly recommend this restaurant.

La Taberna del Barrio is well worth the walk or tuktuk ride up to Barrio Norte! The setting is really beautiful, indoors and out. The food (lunch, dinner, Sunday brunch--with homemade bagels!) is yummy! Lori the owner is a wonderful hostess and the other staff are very welcoming and helpful. We'll be back, again and again!Oh, thank you so much for being a patron and taking the time to write this lovely review. You will be pleased to know that during this holiday season we will be adding more items to our menu that cater to a wider variety of dietary needs. The good: - Great view (of course, it's hard not to have this on the water front of San Pedro!)- Friendly and attentive staff- Free wifi- Amazing horchataThe not so great:- There food was okay. We were hungry and we ate it, but it definitely wasn't "great" by any means. There were a lot of things on the plate that appeared like it could have possibly come out of a freezer bag (side of vegetables even had those little crinkle cut carrots), - If you're high on hunger and low on time to research going here is okay. I wouldn't necessarily "seek out" this place to come back, unless for the fresh horchata.
