The essence of Mediterranean seafood cuisine, located in the bay of Sant Pol by the sea that sparkles through the windows and arches, illuminating the 170 covers shared between the dining room and the terrace, and offering one of the most splendid and pri

Went here for paella, my Spanish borned son's absolut favorite food. He completely finished, and loved it. The very local extremely smooth fresh cheese "recuit de drap" (serves with honey) as my dessert was exquisite. The day after we went back for the set menú lunch. As it was Thursday, son happily repeated paella. The set menú had really nice mussels, and so fresh sèpia, also the fresh tuna fish was superb.

Restaurant La Calma is located in Platja d'Aro's maritime waterfront promenade, with an open-air dining terrace protected by the cold wind, and a chill out area with beachfront views to enjoy cocktails, tapas, full breakfast, in a very relax ambience.
Youâd be hard pressed to do better for the attentive service and the excellent food. Donât go past the lobster rice... deeelish. The Scampi are as fresh as they come. La Calma has an extensive selection of wines. I recommend trying some of their local ecological varieties. The covered outdoor patio with uninterrupted views to the Mediterranean makes for a great setting to enjoy good times. This place is a treasure. Check it out, you wonât go wrong

It is hidden undiscovered by tourists culinary treasure of this part of Catalan coast. Comparable with Guillermo in Sant Antoni de Calonge. Everything is great: food prepared from fresh products and service. It is not enough words to describe how good the place is. Just forget any other place in the area and go there. Their version of creme catalana is the best.

Restaurante familiar, comida casera, pescados, carnes, paellas. Restaurante abierto de Abril a final de Septiembre.
So many good reviews, but so very disappointing in reality. Every thing you touch is a bit sticky, not well maintained, I guess youâd say typical touristic restaurant just out to make a buck from the seasonal trade. Had salad (no dressing) and mussels for starters, nothing special although my wife always enjoys fresh mussels so at least she was happy with the starter. Canât say an over cooked piece of asparagus had any place on my salad, but apparently they thought different. Mains was rabbit from the grill (nothing special according to my wife), and a rump steak that wasnât a rump steak. Probably an error in translation to English (although it was also wrong in both German and French). Rump doesnât have a bone in it, this was a bone-in sirloin, that was very rare when I specifically asked for medium. I sent it back, and it returned with the original sides (that were now very cold). Lots of smokers either side of us added to our woes, some of them âinterestingâ clientele to say the least. We will not return, despite the friendly service from a Latvian lady, and the reasonable prices and good wine.

Had a fantastic dorada al horno, the fish perfect, juicy but done, with that hint of garlic, olive oil and amoke from the oven just perfect, and the potatoes that accompanied the tou to the oven are literally some of the best i had, even taking into consideration that a long swim in the ocean makes for a terrifYing hunger. Good but limited winelist,Somewhat pricey, but look where you have to drive to! Scenic access route, so betterif your party has one non drinker. To berepeated anytime

Stopping for lunch at Maria Rosa is a guarantee of eating as a king or a queen! They offer seasonal local fresh fish. Good facilities, both inside and outside, on a terrace facing the sea, where professional lovers of the kitchen will kindly serve you. We really like to have seafood tastings, tasting excellent razors, scallops, mussels, clams ... and a good wine.See you soon!
