Already the stale bread, smelling of hand lotion set the tune for the rest of the meal. Antipasti, for the most part awful. Seafood salad similar to the kind found in the bargain department of Lidl. Scallop shells filled with bits of leftover fish. A true swindle. Mediocre seafood pasta. Mediocre rosato. Sluggish ,uninterested service. â¬300 for a lousy lunch in 6...30 min after, bad stomach cramps. No wonder the place was practically empty... We should have known better. Stay away!

The restaurant is actually in Cocumola. It was difficult to find (the address was not in our GPS system and there were many one-way streets and construction), but once we did it was well worth it. Large place, strange decor, but the pizza was exactly right for us. Service was friendly and quick (actually the place was empty when we arrived - we were the first guests as it was 20:30 and the weather wasn't great). They had all the regular offerings, but we decided we only wanted pizza that evening. Thin, crispy crust, tasty toppings. Nothing we didn't like about this pizza. Prices ranged 4 to 6 euros per pizza. If there was anything to note, was the bottle of rose was 14 euros which was a bit on the high side here. Otherwise, we will definitely return for pizza again.

We happened to go there by luck because we parked our car nearby and the outside was tempting. We seated in the little terrasse overlooking the Adriatic sea. We ate the best spaghetti from our 15 days trip. We took the the one with scampi it was just unforgettable. Prices are normal for the location and service is excellent. Highly recommended.

A small sea-food restaurant with a selection of wines from Apulia.
Just beautifully presented food in an attractive cortile. The menu has changed a little since last year and really suits us. Very difficult to look elsewhere when it is this good! Attractive aperitif style Spritz were served to start. Which was a good idea and just the right size.

The restaurant is located in the small village of castro and offers fresh fish and great pasta dishes. We really enjoyed the food there especially the raw fish (salmon tuna) and the sea food pasta. The service was also lovely with waiters speaking good english which helps and the chef coming to talk at the table. Lovely place!

I am reviewing the Augustus Resort in the capacity of a wedding guest. Breath taking from start to finish, is all I can say! We arrived at the swimming pool, where canapés were being served. The atmosphere was heavenly, the place clean and beautiful. The views of the sea were stunning. We had the first course outside in the 'gardens', as this consisted mainly of freshly cooked fish/shellfish. I know that the quantity of food supplied is down to the bride and groom, but there was so much of everything, all the staff were helpful and welcoming, and the presentation of food was amazing. The remainder of the courses were inside and, once again, all beautifully presented, tasted fantastic and the service was wonderful. One of the guests at our table is a vegan and the staff were very accommodating in making her a suitable meal (she has other dietary requirements too). Nothing was too much for them and the staff were all eager to please. The building itself was stunning and clean. The toilets were nice too!It was the best wedding reception we have ever been to and if I could get married again (to my husband, of course!), it would be here :-)

Typical italian restaurant - south italy (Salento)
The restaurant in a small town of Spongano has outside seating in the piazza in summer, where you can see the locals gather at night and the locals can watch the tourists. The menu is both in English and Italian, and the food was average for the price we paid. Pros - quick service and English menu with local food. Cons - plastic chairs with paper tablecloth, peppers and salt in paper bags, we did not always get the dish we ordered. If you like a fine dining experience, this place is not for you.Hi and thanks for your review. We are a trattoria not a fine dining. Here you Can have an homemade and handcraft experience and making you feel at home without any kind of bling bling. We use paper table cloth and plastic chairs because we have to set the Place up before the service and breaking it down at the end. We are really Sorry if we did not live up your expectations. Thanks for your advice indeed. We Will try to improve
