We stayed at the Boffenigo recently and ate at La Terrazza for four nights, so we got to know the menus pretty well. Situated where the hotel is, in the hills outside Costermano, the restaurant has a captive audience in its guests who don't have a car and, in the main it does a good job. The meat, fish and vegetarian menus are all well put together, well prepared and well presented. The a la carte menu is simply a repetition of the same dishes and, as such, a little restrictive. Especially if you are obliged to eat there every night. We had an additional problem in that my wife is GF, which is boring for everybody. We soon discovered that there were very few dishes on the menu that she could eat. Unlike other 5-star hotels where we have stayed, the kitchen was not prepared to offer anything special, so we were obliged to eat outside the hotel for three nights of the seven we were there. This was definitely not the fault of Guiseppe, who did his best to be helpful, or his staff, in particular Gisele, who was always very agreeable and helpful. It simply demonstrated an unwillingness on the part of the kitchen to use their imagination and vary their choices. For instance, at the beginning of the meal on the first night we were offered, 'as a gift from the chef' one small ball of goat's cheese and a small caprese roll. The same 'gift' was offered every night we ate there. We were not impressed on day one and by day four we were positively unimpressed! Use your imagination chef! You are a very good chef. Don't become self-satisfied. That is the bane of good chefs. The really good ones never stop trying to impress. By the time we come back next year we hope you have earned your first Michelin star. You can do it.

Doesn't look that much different to all the other restaurants alongside the lake but we enjoyed the best meal of our stay on Lake Garda. The weather meant that we ate indoors. We shared an excellent starter of parma ham and melon - doesn't sound that exciting but it was delicious - finely cut ham and succulent melon. OH chose the pluma pork which looked like ribs but was just nicely marinated tender pork. I had Filetto Elegante wrapped in lardo and without doubt the finest piece of fillet steak I have ever eaten. The owner (Nicola ??) explained the provenance - from the cows on the hills around Monte Baldo. He seems to take great care in every part of the operation and it shows. The chef was happy to wander out and chat. Memorable experience.

The meal was disappointing. All courses featured local lake fish (char, pike, perch) which IMO are simply not species that have a pleasant texture or flavor. This is a 3 hour price fixed service at EUR 60 per person one of the most costly meals we had on our trip and far from the most enjoyable. I was stunned to learn that even the 2 children in our group, who refused to eat the fish, and had a hamburger and pasta instead, were charged full price. Our waiter was fine and the wines offered were OK. The environment was very nice but parking was difficult. I liked the dessert but even the complimentary Limoncello could not erase the taste of perch and pike lasagna. If we love lake fish, don't mind poor value, and have 3 hours to dine you might like Osteria al Pescatore.

The location of Alla Grotta is wonderful. Itâs located right down on the waterfront with a deck overhanging the lake. From here you can see birdlife and large fish circling below you, waiting for a tasty morsel from benevolent diners. We didnât give any of our food to the wildlife. We ate is all with great gusto because it was delicious. The woman who served us was very helpful and kind and we really enjoyed having lunch here.

A really cozy restaurant with a delicious and honest cuisine! Delicious plates and nice staff. Not uber touristic like all the other restaurants around them.Location: Nothing to say, the location is just fantastic. Directly on the lake with a fantastic view in the center of Torri.Menu: The menu is not to big. They have both sea and lake dishes, fresh made pastas and fish and daily proposals. Delicious!Service: The staff was really professional and friendly.Price: The price is really honest for having such a great location and fresh products. We definitely had a great time and recommend this place to everyone!Grazie ragazzi, siamo stati molto bene :)

Ristorante sul Lungolago di Torri del Benaco. Specialità pesce di lago e cucina del territorio. No pizza.
This is my second visit to Osteria 4, second time I tried without reservation. 2nd lucky time. Thereâs always a little line of people waiting to eat at this friendly and delicious restaurant. The staff welcomed us like real Italians. Open, friendly, loud and with a genuine smile.Besides the regular menu they had a suggestion of home made pasta that wasnât on the list. We took this pasta, afterwards trout with almonds and tagliata followed by delicious desserts. Traditional Italian homemade cookies and merengue cup with mascarpone and fruit made at the moment. Accompanied by a Valpolicella Ripasso to complete our menu. The food was perfectly cooked and served. Simple and delicious. (See pictures) Plates followed at the right time and where presented with class. Wine is priced reasonable and there's good wine in each price range. I was surprised by the quality of the wine! In short: if you want delicious food, meat of fish. This is the place to be. You can tell by the numerous locals who also dine here. Great atmosphere, food and service.

The restaurant âLa Casa degli spiritiâ is located on the road to San Zeno di Montagna, in a setting of rare natural beauty, with a beautiful view overlooking Lago di Garda and the town of Giulietta and Romeo.Elegant and refined with Menu à la carte, recog
I canât explain how amazing our evening reception at La Casa was on 26th July. I had visited the venue before booking and for menu tasting but which was amazing but on the day it was better than I could have wished. The view is spectacular and walking down the steps on arrival to the food stations and bar outside was something else, even I as the bride was taken back. I brought decorations from the UK but didnât need to as Sara had loads of lovely touches. The staff were all lovely and so helpful and Sara is a great host, nothing was too much trouble. The area for the band was perfect and the food and drink were amazing. We canât wait to return to celebrate some of our anniversaries here in the future. If youâre considering booking your wedding here I would 100% recommend. Hello Claire354thank you very much for your wonderful review,On behalf of all the staff I thank you and look forward to celebrating your next anniversariesBest regards

The "Gardesana" building has more than 500 years of history. It has been built by the Venetian Republic for the meetings of the Council of the Ten Communes of this side of the lake. After Napoleon, during the Austrian domination, until 1866, it had a dark
I recently returned from a two-week vacation in the Veneto region, of which the highlight was -- of course -- eating. And I had expected this place to be among the best. The reality was quite the contrary: it was easily the most disappointing culinary experience. The only dish that lived up to the hype was the "buon Ricardo" dish of crepes with local perch filling. These were indeed magnificent, melt-in-your-mouth light and creamy. Another member of our party had spinach risotto with shrimp, which was creatively presented, but not out-of-this world; the shrimp were far from the most succulent I had seen this region. What really disappointed was our main dish of Lake Garda pike. The fish itself was slightly overcooked. The overall dish was extremely bland, with an unidentifiable white sauce; I had guessed it might be hollandaise, but it had none of the tang of hollandaise. Additionally, the waitstaff did not get our order right; they brought the risotto first, then two plates of the Lake Garda pike. Somehow they missed the fact that another member of our party had ordered the buon Ricardo plate. This isn't an earth-shattering mistake, but this place is trying to present an image of formalistic, "old world" service. What comes across is is a vague sense of decadence and disinterest, in a way a bit reminiscent of the movie THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL.We enjoyed the flourless chocolate truffles given as a complementary dessert, and the pre-dinner glass of spumanti. Overall, however, I'd say Albergo Gardesana is riding on its reputation. (It's hosted celebrities such as Maria Callas, Churchill, and the Kennedys in previous years.) It needs a new chef with an envigorated menu.

Probably this is a family-oriented restaurant, and this explains why there were so many kids screaming and running around like maniacs. I am not against children if they are well-mannered, but when it is too much it becomes annoying for the other guests trying to have dinner and trying to exchange a normal conversation. Food was overall good, a bit over-priced, but what ruined everything was the atmosphere. Not to try if you see kids running around...
