This restaurant offers an inviting range of seafood, but as a solo traveller I opted for the 10€ menu del dia, 3 courses including wine & bread. No complaints – sardines a little over-salted, but a good squeeze of lemon juice helped there – & when I return to Cantabria in August with my wife I plan to revisit this restaurant for a seafood feast on its arcaded terrace.

Never eaten here before but have watched big local families eat here and devour half the content of the Atlantic. First day in Spain on this trip and made an effort to get here for lunch, not disappointed. Three of us on bikes for lunch decided on a 28€ platter between us as a snack. First time the international finger for ordering food has let us down, we got one each. Not one to be defeated mine was very tasty (and filling) and a good share of one of the others meant dinner that night would be a problem (but not impossible). Each platter came with a bottle of wine, as we were all on motorbikes asked if we could take them with the tops on - no problem. Definitely will go back next time in the Picos.

I don't like writing negative reviews! But I feel I have to about this place, we have eaten here twice, once earlier in the year, and again last week. It had escaped us that we had decided the first time that we wouldn't go back here to eat, and we remembered as soon as the food hit the table. It's in a lovely location, tucked away in the crook of the road near the bridge, with a very reasonable menu of raciones, hence we chose it again! The staff were friendly and helpful, despite being vey busy. But the food... The first time we came I remember (now!) having a cheese board which was sparse and had obviously been sitting there for a while, everything hard. The cecina, last and this time, was terrible to be honest! Hard, thickly cut...most of it went to the dog. And the salad, the first time we had a very nice hot salad, but this time there was none, so we went for another, which was terribly presented, just chucked on the plate, and again, sparse. The meatballs were good, but there were only 6 or 7 between 4 of us, and the bocartes, like sardines, were again quite obviously reheaded. The first time we went it was off season, but this time it was peak, and it was just as bad. I would really hope they would read this and improve on this, as it could be a lovely place to eat, but even for the cheap price it was not good enough, I would go somewhere else and pay more next time.

We arrived on a Wednesday night in May - slow season. There was only one other couple in the dining area and no one else came in while we were there. Actually, after we finished our dinner, the waiter told us he was going to close shop .The waiter is the son of the owner and he was very polite and helpful when we asked for explanations on the menu choices. He is a fan of "older" American music and was playing Frank Sinatra and The Platters as background music, which we enjoyed very much.My first course was a mixed salad that could have been a complete meal for me, so I did not finish it. My husband asked for soup and they brought a big bowl, served him some and left the rest on the table. However, shortly after, they brought his second plate and took the soup away without asking (just as well, as he could not have finished it, but it was sort of strange they way they didi it).We both ordered fish, one in a sauce and one "a la Romana", which means 'breaded and fried"; Both dishes were moist and well prepared although mine was a bit bland for my taste (I love well seasoned food!). The Homemade desserts were also very good, especially the one called "Capricho". While we do not claim to be "wine connossieurs", the included white wine was quite good . All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and we would go back if we ever find ourselves in the area.

We arrived to San Vicente after a long driving from the Picos De Europa reservation (from Fuente De). We travelled around their sea shore and later parked our car and went to visit the port. After few restaurant checking we found this restaurant by their big note of the menu of the day. This menu allow the customer to enjoy several dishes in a low price. We were welcomed nicely and ordered our dishes. The service came quickly and the food was very good.Their desserts were not good (especially the ice cream)Very recommended

We originally stopped here for just a coffee, along with our dog. One of the waitresses came out and pointed at our dog saying something in Spanish (my Spanish is not great!), and we were oh no they don’t take dogs, however all she was trying to say was that the lead was wrapped around our dogs paw!! She then even brought out a dog bowl, and proceeded to fill it up with mineral water (which we weren’t charged for btw). Coffee was lovely. We wandered off, but decided to return for lunch given the warm welcome we were given. Lunch was amazing, started with an amazing house salad which was big, but very tasty. We did go to order another starter, but the waitress informed us that the salad would probably be enough for two which was very accurate and appreciated! I then had the Merluza (Hake) on top of black rice with cuttlefish which was really really (yes thats two really’s) good. Price was very reasonable, and it was a really nice spot on the harbour side with great service. We’ll definitely be returning on our next trip to this beautiful part of Spain.

We tried this place in the most crowed week of the year, in mid August. Nevertheless, we had a nice table outside and tasted several good dishes: fried chopitos (small fried calmari), anchovies, green pepperoni (pimientos) and rice with lobster (arroz bogavante). Excellent white wine from Cantabria. Service was fast and professional.Honest price, 85€ for 3 persons.

The are many seafood restaurants in this town...and Boga-Boga comes in as the most highly recommended by my friends. It proved to be outstanding! We had the lobster and potatoes meal with garden salad with Spanish wine. They brought out homemade spreads made from the local fish to start and a great local bread. When the Lobster meal arrived it was a large 2 kg lobster from the local waters cooked with very special Spanish Potatoes. We ate tell we couldn't hold anymore! Just "finger licking" good! Price was 22 euros each for everything....a great place for lunch...go early or make a reservation. A top seafood restaurant in Cantabria....we recommend without reservations...just top draw !!
