We have visited La Sal in its previous location on a few occasions and to be honest we have enjoyed the experience but always felt that the food didn't live up to the location. It's therefore taken us a while to go and visit the new restaurant under the same name and I have to say the setting and new building is superb and presents a fabulous high class feel. Unfortunately however, the rift between this and the food remains. We shared pepper salad and seafood salad for starters and three of our party had sole, with myself having the monkfish and prawn kebab. The sole was well received but the monkfish was tough and a little stringy, possibly frozen too long? The accompanying vegetables were soft and overcooked. At â¬19 & â¬18 each respectively, this was quite expensive for the quality. The service however was top notch and the views of the sea are lovely. Worth a visit but I'd suggest that you carefully consult the menu to identify the star dishes which other reviewers have remarked upon.

This place looks great, is in a good location and has lovely staff. However! The food really lets the place down, and the atmosphere (no music) is not much better. On the first visit I went just for a lunch. I ordered prawns and they were not very clean, most still had the gastro tract still in and they were a bit gritty, not at all pleasant. The sauce they came in was like a thousand island dressing from a bottle. One friend has a house salad which looked quite good though. The second time I tried the pasta pomodoro, it was hideous. The pasta was over cooked and it was drenched in a gluppy tomato sauce. It was almost like a large bowl of tinned Heinz spaghetti. My husband had the spaghetti with garlic, and again it was awful, the garlic was raw and the it was sitting in a pond of melted butter. The place was verging on empty, so I cant put it down to being busy either. Maybe the fish dishes are better but I wouldn't risk it! The cocktails were not good either, I ordered a mojito and it had lemon instead of lime, and maybe some basil, or very little mint. One of my ice cubes had an old piece of basil or mint frozen inside it. It made me feel like the place doesn't have good hygiene standards. My advice to the business owner is to hire a new chef to train the one you have to a better standard. Such a shame as the staff are so lovely.

We recently visited this restaurant as the reviews suggested it was suitable.I was somewhat disappointed as I felt it's not really family friendly, I suppose the fact that there's no kid's menu might have warned us. The view, I must admit is good, but the service was poor and the food was only average. Dry, over cooked calamari is not what I expected, will not be returning.

We came here to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary. On arrival, we were given an aperitif, but it was way too strong to drink. I had salmon for main which was overcooked but edible. My husband ordered sirloin steak - well done. When The steak came, it was red in the middle and the waiter (I think on of the owners) agreed it was medium. He offered another steak but after the wait my husband didn't want it. My husband told the waiter he didn't want to oay for his main. He said ok so we paid for our drinks and my meal. We were very disappointed not only with the meal but the service. Once we complained about the steak no waiters came near our table.

Knowing the area from its early days, we were astound how much has been changed. We went for our well known favourite fish restaurant that apparently had been sold and transformed into a steak house. So we came at Delfines that really is worth as its excellent replacement. More sophisticated, with fabulous fish food quality and friendly service. - Highly recommendedQueremos agradecerle su opinión y que haya confiado en nosotros para pasar un agradable almuerzo. Nos alegra saber que disfrutó de su visita y esperamos poder recibirle de nuevo ¡Un saludo!

We have been coming to Duquesa for a few years but itâs the first time we have tried this excellent restaurant, WOW! Wish we had found it sooner. The food was first class, so good we returned twice more. Friendly service and great view across the port, also as itâs inside you donât get the interruption from the hawkers. The salt fish was wonderful. Definitely our new favourite

Disappointing service! We arrived and took a seat nobody around so my husband went in to order. The couple who we took to be the owners were having a domestic! My husband asked if he could order only to be told âno more orders we have just had a large telephone orderâ! We went elsewhere. No customer service here whatsoever, wouldnât return.
