Upscale restaurant. Food was excellent and the drinks were excellent! Located near the water, but at night feels sketchy. Take an uber or taxi ( we walked- what a mistake). Prices reflected the upscale dining. 2 of us are vegeatrian and it was difficult to find options- mostly pasta. We had the pear ravioli and a fig salad. It was great in taste, but wouldn't have entirely filled me up if I had been hungry (luckily I wasn't). Sad they didn't have other veg options. The service was great, the manager/owner? was very nice and had great recommendations. The meat eaters really enjoyed the variety and the taste. White tablecloth, great view. Dessert was amazing! Definitely recommend, just be aware if you are vegetarian/vegan or have food restrictions.

Located in the old house of the poet Vinicius de Moraes and actress Gessy Gesse in Itapuã, Casa di Vina Restaurant is the meeting of gastronomy with poetry. Specialized in Mediterranean and Bahian cuisine, the restaurant has on its menu delicious pasta, s
The location is gorgeous right by the beach and next to an hotel. It is the former house of the late bossa nova legend Vinicius de Morais. The average dinner price is really on the top range (USD$30 which is high for Salvador's standards). Mainly seafood the dishes were just ok taste-wise. Surprisingly the Steak (Picanha) with special potatoes was divine.

Saw good reviews and gave this place a tumble. It is small and authentic. Literally every table I could see got the pulpo a la gallega, perfectly boiled chunks of tender octopus over sliced boiled potatoes with olive oil and paprika. Totally perfect. Got some sliced meats and cheeses to go with Tempranillo wine and the first decent beer I have had in Brazil, a Colorado Indica from Riberão Preto. Reminds me of the artisanal stuff I get at home in Tennessee. Worth a look if you take your tapas seriously.

Pelourinho is a must see place in the heart of Salvador. Like any other tourist place, it will have several options of Restaurants. Some good, some really bad, some that are just tourist traps. So if you are from out of town, it is hard to know which one. Well, SENAC restaurant is a place you can go where you will have a good taste of several local dishes, done in a way to please the outsider, (hence, more international, with less of the strong flavours of Bahian food), served nicely by students who are in a restaurant school, with a fair price. It is not the best bahian food you will ever taste, but it is probably the best choice in pelourinho if you do not have yet your choice made. Not to mention that, it is a school, so it is nice to be contributing to the art of good food and good service.

Went there with colleagues late at night on monday. Other restaurants were closed. What a nice surprise we had. Beautiful setting, great service, delicious food. Everything in place. Fine dinning at its best. Great wines, beers. I had shrimp prepared in a mix of risotto with italian Proseco. Wow.

Pelourinho, Terreiro de Jesus e Terreiro de S. Francisco are, in my opinion, the most interesting touristic sites in Salvador, aside from the trivial interests of sun tanners and beach lovers. The place has the Cathedral, the Church S Pedro dos Clerigos, the Curch od S Francis, the Church of the Order Tereceira SF, the Church of S Domingos, The Museum of Carnival, the Church of Rosário dos Pretos, the Museum of Misericordia, plus shops, live music, theatrical animation. Cuco Bistro is probably the best choice for a visitor wishing a reasonable meal with local gastronomic flavor in a nice setting. Food is tasty, staff is friendly, prices are not too high, though in Salvador restaurants being wverywhere overpriced. Dear Mr. / Mrs.Thank you for sharing a loverly review about our restaurant and itâs setting in the middle of this wonderful historical center of Salvador. We hope to have you back very soon, it will be a pleasure for us. Best regards, Cuco Bistrô Team

The food is good here at Coco Bamboo! They specialize in seafood and the menu is enormous with several seafood and fish dishes available. The service and waitstaff are very good and very attentive. The only drawback was the live music. On the evening we were there, the bass had not been set correctly and there was a great amount of feedback during the performance. It made it hard to have conversations and you could not hear the singer at all. Maybe they should think about piped in music!

I have been there with my fiancee for a casual visit but I was surprised by the good quality of the service and the true high quality of food (high end). I ate surf and turf (lobster and stake), i had visited most of Salvador Restaurants but this one is now favorite, also the owner welcomes you and tell about the restaurant, and the dishes. No more words to describe this amazing experience. Hi Tiago!Só happy to read that.We try hard every single day to provide the best experience for you. Our restaurant is more than a business, itâs a way of life. Our goal is make our client pleased. Thanks a lot!Vivi

The view is majestic, the whole bay is there for full enjoyment, which makes any meal way more pleasant! The restaurant is specialised on seafood but meat-eaters do find good options as well; portions could perhaps be more generous, especially due to the high price charged! The place is often full with snobbish "soteropolitanos" (locals), not that pleasant. Other than that, a very good choice!
