Things to do in Salinas
A couples of friends went to to El Cazador on December 2016. This is familiar restaurant We asked for red snapper which was good. Actually the entire meal was fantastic and the service was great. Just expect things to take a little longer to come out because it is all made to order. The establishment is clean and the service was good. The waiter was very attentive to the table. You have to order as soon as the waiter comes by. The mofongo was very good.
Come in and experience our delicious, latin dishes, mouth watering desserts and mini mofongos! Enjoy a casual atmosphere, rustic, beachfront restaurant. Located in the Salinas Gastronomic Route. International restaurant with Colombian dishes and seafood.

After a relaxing visit to the natural geothermal pools and massage at the Thermal Pools of Coamo, we went to trip advisor to find a good local restaurant. One of the choices that appeared was for Manuel's in Salinas. It was only about 10 miles away and near the water. Salinas in general was recommended for seafood by our hotel concierge at the Hilton Caribe in San Juan, so we decided to travel to Manuel's and check it out. When we got there is wasn't exactly what we were expecting. It was across from the water, but still close. It was very casual, with a true Puerto Rico flavor, filled with locals. It turned out to be a crab shack. We ordered some fresh "JUEYES" crabs, the conch salad, lobster with mojo, and the seafood stew. WOW! Everything was so fresh and delicious, it was unbelievable. After a long day of traveling and a late but very enjoyable dinner, we were concerned it would be a long drive back to San Juan, but it wasn't. Somehow, we were right off the highway and it took us only an hour to drive back to the northern coast of Puerto Rico from the southern. What a great day and a great trip which was completed by an excellent meal at Manuels!

We have been coming to El Roble for more than 25 years, during this time it has maintained its classic Puerto Rican Sea Food offering and keeping intact old time recipes that have been passed of from generations. El Roble invented the Seven Potencies Stew (Soup) that adds lobster, shrimp, conch, octopus, fish, Scallops & mussels in unique Puerto Rican flavorful stew that is said to be better than "Viagra" according to locals. The Fresh Snapper, Grouper Chops (Only Place to find them), conch, octopus, shrimp, Caribbean Crabs and Caribbean Lobsters all can be ordered with their famous Mojo Isleño Sauce which is heavenly. Also make sure you order their tostones (fried green plantains) made to perfection and order the "Mamposteao Rice" this is a rice and buenas combined and lightly fried over a skillet.Have a bite of fish a toston and a bite of Mamposteao.El Roble is in front of El Malecón area of Salinas overlooking the beautiful bay. This is a classic not to be missed.Ask for Millie she will take care of you.

We came to the restaurant because it was advertise a lot in the area. We waited for the food more than hour. When the food arrive it was not good at all! The food was not good for the price paid for; which was a lot!! I would suggest going to nearby restaurants I believe the experience will be better.

The food is always good, they do provide a menu in English/ and a waiter who speaks some English. They have wonderful sushi.Their linguine and seafood is more like fettuccini with cheese sauce and seafoodBeware it's great but a huge portion. The seafood is fabulous! A friend and I had the stuffed fish. It was stuffed with conch, shrimp, squid, lobster and crab, big chunks. The sauce was a Velvety butter creme sauce, it was a huge portion and the wine suggested was great. A Chilean wine.It was worth the 30 minute wait. We did finish one bottle of wine while waiting. It was not a cheap meal with or without wine but it was well prepared, cooked perfectly and worth the time spent. The restaurant has dining both near the bar and in a larger back room, there is an outdoor seating area and seating near the salinas bay. There are docks for people on boats to come dine and a balcony dock to just enjoy the water. It's a beautiful well appointed restaurant, full bar, good bartenders and nice wine selections.I'd recommend anyone whole lives fish and sea food to come to el pelicanso's for dinner or late lunch. It is a family place.

The Seafood is outstanding and so is the service. Clean, friendly, and delicious food. The best I have had on the Big Island without question! A nice water view overlooking a small marina. The best counch I have ever had. So very tender. The best lobster
I live in Salinas and have eaten in basically every restaurant. I could say that El Dorado is in the top list. Everything Iâve tried in the restaurant is good. I will recommend the mofongo stuffed with crab. You may have to wait long for your food if you stop here on a busy day (holidays and weekends)
