I visited this place after it was recommended to me by close family linked to the restaurant. Great restaurant, just inside the campsite but open to all. The welcome and service were impeccable, and the terrace lovely ! The charming English speaking waiter made our choice from the interesting menu much easier, and I was delighted to find vegetarian options. Well done for using locally sourced ingredients, and changing the menu every few days to use what's available. We had a wonderful time, and will certainly be back for more !

Situé à côté du camping , très bon restaurant près de la plage ( La Perroche ) . Serveur et patron super sympathiques . Ambiance décontractée . Nous avons pris camembert rôti au miel , salade bergère , encornets à la persillade et glaces , tout était délicieux . Endroit très calme .

7 of us had 3 courses and plenty of wine for a shade under â¬300. We could forgive them dropping coke over 2 of us while serving the drinks, but having to wait 40 minutes to order starters was not great. The staff lacked the capacity to be attentive so ordering drinks and getting them to bring what we ordered took a lot of effort.To be fair the starters were good, plentiful portions of salads and the fish soup was very tasty. The St Jacques (scallops) starter had very flavoursome marinated salmon, but the scallops sliced so thinly that you could barely taste them so if you are a fan of scallops, this is not the dish for you - have the main course of scallops on a stick served with pasta. The main course mussels were plentiful, but small in size and a little over cooked. The Roquefort sauce was excellent thick and creamy. The steaks were a good size, served with chips and salad, but quite tough and chewy.There was a huge variety of desserts well presented in large glasses and plentiful in portion size - tasty too.Overall there were some great aspects to our meal let down by poor service and some dishes that were quite good rather than great. Reasonable value but nothing to get excited about.

Never visited St Denis and fancied moules and frites, service was excellent, although my French isn't very good the staff could speak a little English. Saw another couple tucking in to a Plata d'mer and will order that next time Food was hot and freshly cooked. Definitely worth another visit and I would recommend it to anyone

Place caught our eye. Menu looked OK so we stopped for a quick lunch. What a lovely meal. Staff/owners were very welcoming and the food was excellent. Almost impossible to get poor oysters on the island but these were exceptionally good. Nice little touch, they put the top she'll over the oyster for serving. Delicious local bread with it. We had a starter sea food salad as the main and it was a large portion with loads of shell fish and a slice of smoked cod or haddock and a gorgeous creamy home made Mayo sauce. Lovely local wine. Even the coffee was good. Price was very low for the quality.Thoroughly recommend this place and it is open every day all year. The harbour and beach is lovely too for a pre or post lunch wander.Watching other diners the other orders looked very good too.

Arrived at 6.40pm to be told not opening until 7pm. Not a problem at all. Went for a walk and came back at 7.05pm. Sat at a table on the veranda. 10mins later no one had spoken to us. Waited another 10mins and watched another couple arrive (coincidentally French?) who were welcomed and table laid for them. Still we were ignored. Waited another 5mins to have the restaurant little black dog come up to our table, cock his leg, leaving a strong urine smell. So got up and left and still no one spoke to us. Maybe they do not like the British?

Excellent price-quality. Fresh oysters, langoustines, hot oven oysters, house speciality - eclade de moules. Need to be booked in advance, or come just @12 for lunch. Less than 50euro/couple, depending on how much you love their products and the wine :)

A family owns and runs the house for a long time. We arrived there by chance in the late afternoon. Weather was very nice and we ate on the terrasse.The owner is also the chef. Service is friendly, charming and adequate.Food is excellent and abundant. Good choice of wine at reasonable prices.The place is quiet alongside the "water channel" where boats "park" for the night. A bit further down the road to the seaside there is more noise and "touristic pressure" (NOT affecting the hotel). You can pick up a shuttle to "Aix Island" ("l'ïle d'Aix") from there and you can see Fort Boyard from the seaside.Set up inside is more formal than at the terrasse where really casual dressing has been welcomed.Despite a real difficulty with our Amercian Express card the first evening, the lady of the house (Mme Langlois) handled the problem with determlination a "client minded attitude" and professionalism. Problem was quickly solved the next day, and we were invited to join them again with an appreciated compensation.We went back for a memorable dinner two days later and got special attention (and promised compensation). Experience was excellent again.Hat off, M & Mrs Langlois as well as your assistant ! Go there blind. Very good house.Our team and I are happy with your compliments. We will continue to search for the best and new flavors to surprise you and offer you the well being that you deserve
