Thank goodness I had taken French lessons so that I-could help my family order. The waitress refused to speak English and I am so proud I was able to communicate without making it difficult. Learn basic French before you come here!!!!!!!!!!!! Fish was tasty. Sois gentil!!!!

We dined at La Marine, which is located on the waterfront at Port Santa Lucia in St Raphael, on a glorious sunny evening. The location is wonderful with views over the marina, and there is a feeling of space around the exterior tables that is so often missing in restaurants in tourist areas. The menu focuses mainly on fish and the range available is impressive; I chose bouillabaisse, the house specialty, and my wife went with a fixed price menu that included a prawn cocktail and fillet of bass. The presentation of the prawn cocktail was magnificent with half a dozen or more huge prawns perched around the edge of a beautiful salad with a lovely Marie-Rose sauce. My wife confirmed that it tasted as good as it looked and her fillet of bass was pronounced the best fish dish of the holiday. My bouillabaisse was massive and contained huge chunks of saffron potatoes, prawns, sea bass, sea bream and cod; it was beautiful.Service was relaxed but efficient (although the credit card machine did not work) and our bill, including drinks, came to around 80 Euros.La Marine is not an inexpensive restaurant but the great location, good quality service and lovely food make it the best fish restaurant that we have found in the Frejus / St Raphael area; we shall certainly return.

The food was cooked okay but neither of us enjoyed it. I took the Euro 26 menu and my wife a la carte. Loads of veg on mine all cooked okay but the cod(the main event) was rubbery and the langoustine added nothing to the dish. The soup was okay and we had fresh pineapple to finish. It would be hard to spoil that!Unfortunately we left not having enjoyed our meals

Restaurant Spécialité De Poissons "parilladas" Grillade De Viandes Plage Privée Base Nautique Cocktails Ambiance Cosy
Great beach restaurant with a fantastic view. We had an outstanding meal with the fish platter to share - possibly one of the tastiest selection of fresh fish ever ! Bravo! The house rosé was great value to accompany the food. One pudding will suffice for four adults as portions are very generous. There is a small sandy beach area to relax and enjoy the sun with some gummy shoes to wear on the stony walk in to the sea for a swim. Overall a super spot to spend a day and relax with great food.

This restaurant is rather new: they have opened just this summer 2017. It is family-run cozy place which is a bit far from most crowded part of Frejus-Port but it is highly recommended to find it. The reason is simple: it is just what good restaurant should be (if not mention haute-cousine-Michelin ones) - they serve very good meal (like at home) made of best-quality fresh products at fair price level. And most important is that all this comes with very human touch: owner has time to talk to guest (and may add some extras - will it be couple more oysters or small digestive). We were absolutely pleased with our main courses: coquilles Saint-Jacques taken by my wife. or Aioli Provençale which made me happy. Wine list is not that big (no need) - but seems wines are perfect (local ones) and fits the menu well. So, for us (and for all previous reviewers) al this was with best score: food, quality, overall appearance and outcome that we were at home of friends. We'll definitely come back more times - fish and seafood are great here as all other details.

In a fairly unassuming location, by the marina in St Raphael. But the food was excellent; portions huge;service extremely friendly and helpful. You need to book - we didnât, and at 7pm managed to get one of the only 2 unreserved tables - on a Monday evening. 10 minutes later, people were being turned away. Not expensive. Definitely worth a try

Trip to the south of france with the lids - we needed an evening meal at found ourselves in St Raph. Loads of choice and we plumped for la renaissance. Not inspiring but reasonable food at a reasonable price. Everyone managed to find something to eat from the menu and, bearing in mind the location, it was bank breaking! Not sure I'd actually recommend this but it did what was required

Fill your boots here with delicious French food. Staff were great even though busy, and this was so say out of season! Really good guy that seemed to keep coming out and keeping a watchful eye on things. Everything ran smoothly, food and wine was so good I have to say we left feeling we could not possibly eat another thing! Just to finish off was the floating island...love it.!Merci pour votre commentaire qui nous fait énormément plaisir
