We didnât want to eat pizza, cold meats or sandwiches! This was just the place for a difference! We started with bruschetta with fresh tomatoes adding olive oil, balsamic, salt and pepper! Delicious! Then a cheese plate with spicy preserves! Yum! Then we ordered and shared Vegetable Risotto (mushrooms and risotto), Grilled Vegetables and Sliced Steak of Young Tender Beef with Valpolicella red wine! All for 58 euros! Wow!

Terrazza davvero molto bella ed elegante, in una serata d'estate, veramente il top. Poi però ordini la pizza al metro, e resta solo la terrazza. La pasta non è lievitata bene, quindi la pizza risulta troppo gommosa. Peccato, perché a livello di ingredienti non sarebbe male. Anche il costo è abbordabile, con 15 euro si può tranquillamente cenare. Ma la pasta è decisamente da rivedere.

Il locale mi è stato consigliato per la cucina locale , infatti dal menù ho scelto il somarino con la polenta, piatto eccezionale della tradizione polesana, carne tenerissima e saporita. Il ristorante ha capienti e molteplici sale e dispone di molto personale, un piazzale antistante funge da parcheggio immenso. Penso che per gli orari flessibili e per la grande capienza, il posto si trova sempre.

My wife's family took us to dinner at this place located about 5-10 miles from the Rovigo town center. I was encouraged to order the seafood spaghetti, and so I did. The result was a huge platter of spaghetti with a large quantity of a variety of shellfish. It was fantastic! It was a challenge for me to keep up with my Italian friends, and so I did. I ate the whole thing! I understand the restaurant has a reputation for serving large quantities of food. If you have a means of getting there, such as a friend or relative, then you are in luck. If not, it is worth the price of a cab.

Sometimes you decide to eat in a restaurant, not due to any recommendation, not because of any TripAdvisor review, but jsimply because you walk past and something indefinable tells you that this is a place to try. Such a thing happened when passing Tavernetta Dante in Rovigo. It was closing for lunch when we walked in and asked if there was any need to book for the evening. The very friendly owner said that he would expect us. So, suitably hungry, we arrived early and received a very warm welcome from the owner and later from his wife. We had a shared starter of boiled mixed fish including capesante, prawns, calamari. Since this included two of my wife's favourites, calamari and polpi, it soon disappeared. Next, I enjoyed a plentiful portion of extremely flavoursome baccalà a la vincentina, while my wife had grilled anguilla which, she tells me, was cooked to perfection. The wine, a chilled Raboso recommended by the host, was so good that, naughtily, we had a second half litre. When the owner's wife was pouring it a drop spilled on to the tablecloth and she pointed out to us that this was considered a sign of good luck. There is a bar area immediately on entering the restaurant and here some people, who appeared to be regulars, had snacks drank and chatted. Tavernetta Dante is a lovely place that has everything, welcoming, excellent food, ambience and a feeling that you are special. I cannot recommend it highly enough and cannot wait to return.

Osteria ai Trani is an historical and well known location and it offers a menu of typical local dishes based on meat or fish. A selection of big mixed salads are available for vegetarians and a choice of hamburgers reinterpreted in a personal way can be an unusual solution. The environment is warm and the staff is welcoming.

In viaggio dal Trentino al centro sud in pieno agosto, ora di pranzo, usciamo al casello autostradale di Rovigo e TripAdvisor ci suggerisce questo ristorante.Mai scelta fu più azzeccata. Localino delizioso, servizio impeccabile. Cibo ottimo e ben presentato. Molto buono il rapporto qualità prezzo. Avrei voluto assaggiare tutto ciò che era elencato nellâinteressanissimo menù.Consigliatissimo.

The restaurant is posh. I loved it. The food, as any posh restaurant, is minimal but good. Staff is nice and efficient. Good restaurant for romantic dinner, business meal or even with family and friends.it is expensive, of course.
